The Next Two Free Games on the Epic Games Store Announced
Verdun and Defense Grid: The Awakening - both games will be available for free on the Epic Games Store starting July 22.
Verdun and Defense Grid: The Awakening will be free on the Epic Games Store starting July 22. These games will replace Obduction and Offworld Trading Company, which will remain free until July 22, 11:00 AM ET.
Verdun is a multiplayer first-person shooter set during World War I, featuring historically accurate weapons and tactical squad-based gameplay. Defense Grid: The Awakening is a tower defense game with an 8 hour campaign and lots of extra content in Challenge Modes.
Two games will be played from 22 to 29 July.
They may not be as well known as the Offworld Trading Company last week, but both Verdun and Defense Grid should make a nice addition to your ever-growing Epic Games catalog.
While Epic continues to offer free games, it also continues to fight Apple in the ongoing lawsuit against Fortnite. It was recently revealed that the lawsuit will be heard in Australia after Epic wins the appeal. The game has been under MIA control on Apple devices for several months, and there is no indication as to when things will be finalized.
In the meantime, you can relax in the knowledge that Epic will continue to release free games on a weekly basis.
