Terraria 1.4.4 Update: How to Download, Patch Notes, and Everything You Need to Know
Update 1.4.4 for Terraria was released on September 28th. Long awaited update labor of love it's finally here and gamers are thrilled with all the possibilities it brings to the game. The sandbox adventure game has been released for 11 years and hasn't had too many major updates, so this game is great for dedicated players.
The game does not feature cross-platform multiplayer, but to ultimately represent this, update 1.4.4 is the first simultaneous release for all platforms. Re-Logic claims that they want to make the game cross-platform in the future.
Terraria 1.4.4: A Complete Guide to the Labor of Love Update
Labor of Love is one of the most anticipated updates to any game in recent memory. There are new products, new features and more.
Here are some of the most significant changes included in the big update:
- Loading equipment now allows you to defer up to three individual kits.
- The Void Bag can now be opened and closed and function similarly to the second inventory.
- An all-new Rubblemaker item has been introduced. It can be used to host over 200 background objects with core resources.
- Quite a few new pets have been added.
- A brand new potion, Biome Sight, has been added. It highlights evil blocks.
- New bread, liquid type and wool type were introduced.
- City Slimes are now found at the Zoologist.
- City slimes also have eight designs.
- Two new tropical birds have been introduced to the jungle that can spawn there.
- Life Crystals and Mana Stars can now be placed.
- Combine the Shadow Chest and the chain to make a locked chest.
- Flymeal is a new item used to unstick NPCs.
- Added new karting Fart Kart. As the name suggests, it creates a sound effect while driving.
- Digging Molecart can now be obtained much faster in the early game.
- Cell phone and bunch of balloons are now materials.
- A rare pirate item will now drop twice as often.
- The Golem boss has received a buff.
- Players can now trade their current pet for a pet license.
- Terrariums can now be stacked.
- Glowing mushrooms emit the light they are colored with.
The following describes how to download the update. Many consoles and platforms will eventually install the update automatically. However, if this is not the case, this can be done manually.
On your Xbox One console, go to Updates under My Games & Apps. If it's not there, try visiting the Xbox store. On PlayStation, check the app for updates by hovering over it, waiting for the options to appear, and selecting Check for updates.
The APK file update should be available on Android from the Google Play Store. On iOS devices, the update will be available in the updates section of the App Store or on the Terraria page.
