The first step to finding an ethereal biome is to create a new world after updating to Terraria 1.4.4. Once the player boots into their new world, they must determine which side their jungle spawned on. Then you must find the Ocean on this side of the world and dig.
Specifically, players need to dig into the Caves that spawn just below the dungeon. You will know that you have reached the level of the Cave when you see that the rock in the background turns into a darker one, and an ethereal biome with a starry background appears inside it.
