No Man's Sky 4.05 Update: Difficulty Scaling and Lots of Fixes

Hello Games continues to release new patches No Man's Sky to customize game elements and troubleshoot problems that occurred after Waypoint. Patch 4.0 marked another major update released in 2022 that added new features and overhauled the visual graphics, among other things. The latest patch also brings a few more fixes to the game.

With update 4.05, tech stocks in No Man's Sky may contain supercharged slots, which will increase significantly. The number of boost slots depends on the starship, freighter, or Multi-Tool class, with the C-class having one available slot and the S-class having 4.

Bases will now show the difficulty settings they were created with. Players who permanently lock their difficulty settings in No Man's Sky will have this reflected in the mode icon. Incoming damage that can affect tech scales with players' current shield strength.
