Cyberpunk 2077 Next Generation Update DLC Coming After "Important Fixes and Updates"

CD Projekt Red is prioritizing fixes and updates to Cyberpunk 2077, changing parts of its original roadmap post-release.

DLC Cyberpunk 2077 and next-gen updates are being delayed, so CD Projekt Red can make the game playable on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

CDPR co-founder Marcin Iwinski outlines changes to content roadmap Cyberpunk 2077 and presented a vague timeline of when promised game fixes may fall out (they are different from fixes that have already been released).

Next generation update Cyberpunk 2077 will appear no earlier than the second half of 2021. This means that until then, the owners of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S will stick with a slightly improved version of what's available now.

After launching the free update Cyberpunk 2077 the next generation it will still be free and will include features such as ray tracing and improved frame rates.

While DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 was scheduled to release shortly after the game's launch, Iwinski said that CD Projekt Red's new goal is to release it sometime in late 2021, focusing again on patches for current versions of the game.

СThe content of the CDPR roadmap is handled via a blog post on Cyberpunk.net and has no time tags, although the DLC is set to come before the next gen update.

Assuming the current timeline continues, which is perhaps best taken with a grain of salt, the owners Cyberpunk 2077, can probably expect the DLC to come out later this summer.

However, Iwinski has only mentioned free DLC for the game, and it's unclear if the richer DLC campaigns will make it into the game. Cyberpunk 2077 on the same schedule. It is likely that the dates originally listed in the CDPR have also been pushed back.

The first of the most significant patches Cyberpunk 2077 will release sometime before January 23, 2021, with the second following shortly thereafter, though Iwinski hasn't given an exact date for it. Stay up to date!
