New Agent Valorant KillJoy - Everything We Know
Are we getting close to revealing the twelfth Valorant agent that will most likely appear in Act 2?
Valorant has been patched again with the 1.04 update, and the developers are already building up hype for their next big patch in early August, teasing the game's 12th Agent, codenamed Killjoy. After a recent patch, the high-tech sneaker store in Split, located next to the A-site, received a decorative change: a cardboard image of the new agent with a poster that clearly depicts Killjoy.
Along with the cardboard Easter egg, new audio files have been added to the game in preparation for Killjoy's upcoming debut.
Here's what we know about the latest VALORANT company.
1. Getting ready for the turret?
One of the first things data miners discovered while researching Killjoy was the addition of electronic sounds with a name attached to them. This quickly turned into figuring out that Killjoy's set would be aided by his own contraption gadgets with their animations and sounds already loaded into the game. While we don't know exactly how these tricky little turrets will work in the game, there's speculation that we'll get the equivalent of Overwatch's stationary cannon.

2. Killjoy is the master master of VALORANT's secret agent world
We have wind turbines that kill knives. We have smoky purple monsters that can teleport across the map. We even have a vampire with VALORANT's latest Agent Rain. Killjoy, he's, well, a giant nerd. A recent patch update added voice lines from the cast to the game, some of which referenced the newest agent.
Cypher refers to Killjoy as a "little engineer", stating that he stole a transmitter from a tech guru for one of his cameras and that he would probably "pay him". Reyna refers to how "bright" Killjoy is, he will never become a Radiant after he kills him in combat, and also reveals in another voice line that she is tired of Killjoy's many robots, wanting to get to their creator himself .
Brash, the gruff, cyber viking he is, probably best describes Killjoy with his dialogue in one word, just calling him a nerd.
3. We expect Killjoy on August 4 with Act 2 of Episode I: Ignition
The cardboard cutout isn't the only thing added to the Split sneaker shop. Next to Killjoy's cutout is a poster with a giant "4" on top. Although the developers of VALORANT have already said that the release of a new agent should take place every two months at the beginning of a new act. The number 4, which appears in Killjoy's Easter egg, coincides with the supposed start date of the Act, August 2 - 4. Act 2 is expected to continue until the second week of October when the final chapter of Episode I: Ignition begins. Combined with Killjoy's entry into the arena, Act 2 will bring a new Battle Pass to VALORANT players.
