NoSkyrim is a Skyrim Mod for People Who Don't Want to Play Skyrim
The NoSkyrim mod was only released for two days before being removed from Nexus Mods.
Have you ever played your version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 1000 Mods and thought, "Hey, maybe hare already playing this." Well, today is your lucky day because now there is a mod for that too.
The NoSkyrim mod does exactly what the name suggests: prevents you from playing Skyrim. When you download it to start a new game, it just won't let you. However, while the mod was a hit on Reddit, Nexus Mods wasn't as keen on the joke and had already removed it.
Regardless, the mod's creators seem incredibly proud of this achievement. When announcing NoSkyrim on r/skyrimmods, they said "IT HAPPENED, after a year of sitting on my ass, I did something productive and made NoSkyrim THE GREATEST NEXUS MOD." Replying to a question on everyone's mind, they explained, “It does what you think it does, it makes it impossible to play the real game. So now when you move to a new game, instead of playing this fucking game, you just don't play." "
Reviews seem to be overwhelmingly positive. In the replies, danieln1212 says "So, instead of downloading 200 mods and not launching Skyrim, I can now only do it with one, what an effective mod." Many in the replies agree with the joke, leaving comments such as: “After downloading this mod, I was still able to play Skyrim on the Nintendo Switch. Could you correct this error, please?"
After hearing the news that NoSkyrim had been removed from Nexus Mods, the creator started a petition to get it back. modders even have created new subreddit, r/savenoskyrim , whose fans are passionately begging for its return, for example: “Ever since this mod was shut down, the game has been literally playable! Why would the nexus staff do this!”
It remains to be seen if Nexus mods will be removed for these requests.
