Ilya Sobolev was sued with a lawsuit for 84 million rubles
Popular comedian Ilya Sobolev has been sued for 84 million rubles in compensation for allegedly insulting him during one of his YouTube comedy shows.
The plaintiff was a certain Leonid Tarantov, according to Mash.
According to the rules of the show, the participant had to record a voice message with the text "Why is it that you are a f**k, I will find out the last?" and send to one of the contacts. The choice fell on Leonid, who, after the release of the show, appealed to the Petrogradsky District Court of St. Petersburg and demanded 84 rubles from Sobolev for insult. The trial is scheduled for April 443.
According to Mash, Leonid is a lawyer from Tolyatti, who sold his LLC in 2017, took loans from different banks in 2019, and in February 2021 became bankrupt and canceled all his debts. Sobolev noted that this case could become a dangerous precedent that would untie the hands of those who want easy money in the role of a victim.
