A mod that allows you to play God of War on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1

Many players with an older system, below Windows 10, couldn't play God of War. Now the situation has changed, since a mod has been created that allows you to run the port on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1.

Как turned out, modders okt04175 and alan2350 have created an unofficial patch that makes the game work on Windows 7/8/8.1. The add-on allows you to run the game on older OS, but when you switch to 10 or 11 series Windows, the game will stop working.

The patch makes changes to the GoW.exe file. After that, you need to download the DXVK d3d11.dll and dxgi.dll libraries, unpack them and place them next to the start file. If necessary, use the asynchronous DXVK patch. After the manipulations, you can already run the action.

It is not yet clear how well the game works on older OSes, this will only become known over time. However, it is possible that in the future the developers will close the possibility of running the game on Windows 7/8/8.1. You can download the patch here.

Note that earlier the developers said they were waiting major modifications from the fans.
