Who will go to The International 11 from the CIS

The International is the largest Dota 2 esports tournament. Thanks in large part to the prize money, the participants raffled off $40 million at the last "int". The victories in other tournaments cannot be compared - taking one of the last places here (for 13th-16th place last year they gave $600) is sometimes even more profitable than winning at a major (the prize for the winner of PGL Arlington Major 000 is $2022). No wonder so many teams are formed before the tournament just to get a chance to get here.

There are two ways to do this - to be selected by the sum of DPC points for the year (given for participation in major tournaments) or through a closed qualifier. This year, only one team from the CIS received a direct ticket. Therefore, in the qualifiers, which took place from September 3 to 7, a stubborn battle awaited us. Spoiler: Outsiders, the main favorite from the CIS for a trip to Singapore, according to bookmakers, could not achieve victory. You can learn more about these bookmakers on the Match.Center website. There you will find BC rating of Kazakhstan and a lot of information about their bonuses. We will tell you who will represent the CIS at The International 11.

Briefly about the format of the selections

Twelve teams from the regional leagues that did not qualify directly for the "int" qualify for the closed qualifier. Draw - according to the DPC points scored in the season. Mesh - double-elimination. Series are played up to two victories in all rounds, except for the final (up to three victories). The winner of the qualification receives a direct ticket to The International. The second and third places go to the last qualification - Last Chance, where they will fight with teams from other five regions (China, Western Europe, North America, South America, Southeast Asia) for the last two trips.

Team Spirit (Yatoro, Mira, Miposhka, Torontotokyo, Collapse)

Champions have a chance to defend their title. The winner of the last "int" qualified for the tournament without any problems, despite the failure at the beginning of the season. At the end of the year, the Dragons took third place in terms of DPC points and were selected directly.

BB Team (Daxak, Noticed, larl, Rodjer, Sonneiko)

BB Team is the winner of Eastern Europe qualifiers. The path has been difficult. Having eliminated NaVi in the upper bracket semi-finals, the team pushed itself to the brink: victories over the four best teams in the qualifiers separated it from a direct ticket to the "int".

And BB Team did it, losing only one map! Nemiga (2:1), One Move (2:0), NaVi (2:0), Outsiders (3:0). In many ways, the team owes this success to the excellent game of Rodjer. His aggressive play style created a lot of space for teammates to take full advantage of this.

Outsiders (gpk, DM, yamich, Xakoda, Ramzes666)

The main favorites of the qualifiers reached the final without losing a single map (Pari Parni, Mind Games, NaVi). The Outsiders entered the decisive series as guaranteed favorites... but after the first "slap in the face" the team couldn't pull themselves together and the series turned into a rout - 0:3.
Players and fans of the Outsiders are doubly offended by such a result. The team before that had every chance to go to the “int” through DPC points, but Valve recalculated the results and, as a result, the Outsiders were in 13th place. They lacked one point.

Natus Vincere (V-Tune, Solo, Noone, laise, swedenstrong)

Before the start of the qualifiers, NaVi saw the main opponent for the Outsiders. However, during the tournament, they could not confirm this status.

The draw for the "born to win" was unsuccessful, and they had to break through to the final of the upper bracket with a fight - HR (2:1) and BB Team (2:1). But the 0-2 loss from the Outsiders proved that the team did not deserve a ticket directly. NaVi failed to prove the opposite: BB Team took revenge for the loss in the second round and sent the team to the Last Chance selection stage.
