Genshin Impact leaks have revealed a ton of information about upcoming versions of the game, including a roadmap found in the files that leads to the game's 4.0 update. Update 4.0 will bring Fontaine to the game and Hydro Land will be a huge new region full of unique technologies.
Leaks have even indicated that Fontaine will have underwater exploration and a new water-passing mechanic that fans will definitely want to try out. The latest Genshin Impact leaks have revealed a plethora of content set to arrive in the game's next few updates. These updates will advance the Sumeru storyline all the way to its conclusion, after which players will begin their journey to the Fontaine region in version 4.0. Fans probably won't enter Fontaine until the end of 2023, but this roadmap reveals many of the characters that should appear in the game's upcoming updates.
This information comes directly from the game files themselves, and it reveals the names and weapon types of many of the characters due to appear from update 3.2 to update 3.6. Everything is less certain about version 3.7 and up, but the leaks continue to reveal more information every day. Here is the roadmap so far:
- 3.3 - Wanderer (Scaramucci) and Faruzan
- 3.4 - Al-Haytham and Yao Yao
- 3.5 - Dehya and Mika
- 3.6 - Bai Zhu and a new character
Fans who want to summon characters like Scaramucci and Faruzan won't have to wait long as they are due in the post-3.2 update, but it will be a long wait for those who want to summon characters like Bai Zhu.
Players should keep in mind that these leaks are subject to change as well, especially since they predict information in updates that won't launch for several months. Players will want to keep their expectations in check and hold on to their Primogems if they want to summon any of these leaked characters.
There will be many additions to Sumeru during these updates. Update 3.3 will focus on Scaramucci's storyline and provide players with more information about his character, while Update 3.4 will feature a massive map addition. This will add more desert regions for players as well as a powerful new boss to defeat.

It appears that the Sumeru storyline will continue until around Update 3.6, at which point things may start to move into the Fontaine region. The leaks have revealed a lot of information about Fontaine, including that there will be underwater and boat mechanics to explore, underwater treasures to collect, and a slew of other new mechanics for fans to enjoy.
