A naval ship carrying the new Corsair class is heading to Black Desert later this month.
Pearl Abyss has announced that the Corsair class will be coming to Black Desert on June 29th. The developers have opened the pre-creation of characters for the new summer season server, so it's time to pre-create a new class - Corsairto get various Rewards.
This news came at the time Heidel ball this year, which featured the Black Desert roadmap. Most of the talk was centered around the game's first co-op dungeon, Atoraxxion, but the other main attraction was the Corsair. A new class is always a big deal in BDO, and this time was no exception.
Utilizing a "compound sword" called the Serenaca that grows in length during use, the Corsair is an agile class that can transform into a mermaid and quickly slam into their opponents - a stark contrast to the previous "Sage" class that roamed the battlefield clumsily like a giant. She can also swim faster and stay underwater longer than any other character in the game, making her the perfect choice for players who spend a lot of time at sea.
Pre-production of Corsair will begin on June 23rd, so you won't have to wait long to jumpstart your pirate career.
Apart from the new class, BDO also gave a detailed rundown of what to expect until the end of 2021. Here is a quick overview of the main points:
- Move into new mansions and decorate them with exclusive new items on July 15th.
- Extreme Monster Zone "Terror of the Deep Sea" arrives on August 26th. This is a single player-only mode that limits your field of vision for a unique new challenge.
- On August 12, the mini-game "Yarr" will be released, combining the rules of poker and dice Yacht.
- Atoraxxion will release on PC and console on July 21, but only the first zone, Vahmalkea, will be available.
Meanwhile, Black Desert Mobile players can look forward to five new classes by the end of 2021 along with the Valencia South and East regions.
The Corsair class will be available in BDO on June 29th.
