As the release date approaches Resident Evil 8 Village players study each teaser image, video and demo to learn as much as possible about it. A fan recently did some calculations to figure out how tall Lady Dimitrescu really is.
During the Maiden demo in Resident Evil Village, players meet the indomitable vampire matron Lady Dimitrescu, who stands at an incredible height above the main character, which no doubt adds to the tense atmosphere of not knowing what she is planning or what will happen next. In fact, one fan took the trouble to figure out exactly how tall she is by paying close attention to the details in the creepy demo.
Players first encounter Resident Evil 8 vampire Lady Dimitrescu when she has to duck to get into the house from the backyard before straightening up to her enormous height. In the demo, her shoulders appear to be roughly at the level of the doorway, giving Ash Parrish, Kotaku's staff writer, a way to start calculating the vampire matron's height. They figured the doorframe would be about 86 inches tall to match the style and age of the house, then they added about 10 inches to account for the height of her head.
Therefore, this would mean that Dimitrescu's height in Resident Evil 8 is 96 inches, 244 cm, or about 8 feet. This is significantly higher than the world record holder, the tallest woman in the history of Sandra Elaine Allen, who already had a breathtaking height of 2 meters 31 centimeters.
This calculation makes sense, given that in most depictions of Lady Dimitrescu, she towers over everyone around her. She seems to enjoy being overly tall, adding massive hats to her already incredible height. And if the rumors that Lady Dimitrescu is based on a Japanese urban legend about Hachisakusame, which translates to "eight-foot woman", are correct, which would make these calculations even more likely. Hachisakusama of enormous stature, always wears white and eats his victims. Considering that Lady Dimitrescu is always portrayed in white and is a vampire, it can be assumed that they have a common idea of eating victims. Both Hatisakusama and Lady Dimitrescu also have black hair and wear a large hat.
