At the end of Intermediate Volume: Act III - Inversion of Genesis Genshin Impact, Scaramouche, now starts with a clean slate as the Wanderer, regaining all of his past memories and determined to live his life over again. As a Traveler, you have the honor of renaming Scaramouche whatever you like, with a few exceptions. Please be careful as youyou can rename it up to two times, and the change will be applied continuously across various aspects of the game.
How to rename Wanderer in Genshin Impact
Intermediate Volume: Act III - Inversion of Being consists of several quests, one of which is called Final Kabukimono. In this segment, you must complete the Drifting Memories dungeon in order to help the Wanderer regain his memories. When it's over, you'll be prompted to give it a new name. You can't skip this step, but you you can change his name one last time after the quest ends. We recommend choosing a name that you really like, as changes are permanent.
There are a few rules you need to follow if you want to change the Wanderer's name.
- You may not use any derogatory or harmful terms.
- You cannot use the name of an existing playable character, Paimon's name, or the names of Fatui members.
- You cannot use any of the old Wanderer names such as Scaramouche, Ballader, Kunikuzushi, and Kabukimono.
- The name must be one word, no spaces. But you can choose your preferred capitalization.
How many times can you change the name of a Wanderer or Scaramouche in Genshin Impact
You can change Scaramouche/Wanderer's name maximum two times. The first is during the quest, as described above. The second change is optional after you complete the entire chapter of Intermediate Volume: Act III - Genesis Inversion. You will receive an item in your inventory called "Feather of Naming". Using it will allow you to change the Wanderer's name to last time. Name changes are permanent, so please use the name you really like.
Where does Scaramouche's new name appear in Genshin Impact?
The new name Scaramouche/Wanderer appears all over your user interface. If you select it, it will default to the permanent new name. The same applies to the Serenity Kettle and dialogue lines.
