How many twists do you need?
Saino will be available in the first phase of the Genshin Impact 3.1 update, along with a 4-star Candace and restarting the Venti. Starting September 28, 2022, players can expect both banners to run until October 14, 2022. During this time, HoYoverse will be giving away many awards to second anniversary of the game.
As a general rule, a 5-star character is guaranteed to fall 1 time in 90 spins. Thus, after completing 90 prayers, you are guaranteed to receive at least one 5-star character (not necessarily an event one). Thanks to this rule, it is safe to have a total of 180 accumulated spins to guarantee the character's fall from the banner.
The same applies to Saino's upcoming banner. You will need to have 180 pulls ready for a guaranteed drop, given that your last character was a 5 star from the event's miltva (e.g. Kazuha or Klee). This does not mean that the chances are zero, as it is still a 50/50 chance.
However, if your last 5-star was someone standard (e.g. Genie, Diluc, Mona, etc.), you will only need to stock up on 90 spins to get a guaranteed 5 stars from the banner of the event you chose.
Apart from this, there are other rules that you should be aware of regarding various banners.
How does the prayer and guarantor system work in Genshin Impact?
The banner that appears with each new update is called the "Event Prayer" or limited banner. As the name suggests, it stays on for a limited amount of time, further pushing players to use their Primogems.
All limited banners work the same way. You will have a 100% chance to get 5 stars with 90 calls.
However, the players themselves coined the term soft guarantee in Genshin Impact or soft guarantee. Such a concept does not officially exist, but the statistics among the players indicate that in the period from 70-85 spins, the majority get their 5-star character. That is, before the official guarantor.
In order to know how to look at the guarantor in Genshin Impact, you need to rely on the above numbers and your history of twists. In the event that it has already been unscrewed 60-70 times, then be sure that some 5-star character is just around the corner. This way you can find out your guarantor.
How to Prepare for the Saino Banner
If you have a full F2P account with primogems saved for Sayno, it's absolutely possible to get him in the next patch.
Genshin impact 3.0 has many ongoing events right now, all of which provide players with rewards. Numerous world quests, chests, domains and the Winding Abyss are the main sources for farming Primogems.
In order to level up Saino on the first day, you will need to stockpile materials from the Electro Fern Boss along with Electro Gems.
