Each legend in the game has their own unique traits and abilities that support the team in their own way. For players who prefer movement and speed, Octane is one of the first choices for its self-healing potential and quickness.
While the base set of legends comes free, other seasonal legends can be purchased by spending a certain amount to get them. However, to celebrate Apex Legends' three-year anniversary, Respawn is giving away three in-game legends with their own theme pack.
How to get Octane for free in Apex Legends Season 12.
Octane was one of the very first Legends in the game to be added after the release of the base game, and he was known to be one of the weakest Legends in the entire game. However, after appropriate buffs and changes, the legend has a new life.
Octane remains a favorite among many players and has generated interest from individuals who have recently joined the game. In celebration of the third anniversary of the battle royale, Respawn is making Octane free for anyone who logs in between February 8-15.
Getting the legend is relatively easy and can be done by doing the following:
- Step 1: Open Apex Legends on PC via Steam or Origin.
- Step 2: Upon opening the game, players will be given Octane after a few pop-up notifications if the legend is not already in his roster.
- Step 3: On the main screen, players will also be presented with three Octane themed packs that grant drops associated with him.
This offer is only available until February 15, so players who don't want to miss out on the chance to get their hands on the freebie will need to log in before the promotion expires.
