Hogwarts Legacy Will Introduce Morality System
How deep will this system of morality be in Hogwarts legacy, the new Harry Potter RPG?
It looks like the new Harry Potter RPG, Hogwarts Legacy, will have some sort of morality system when it finally releases in 2023. It's currently unknown how deep it will be, but it's still an interesting mechanic to use in a game that will focus on the contrast between good and evil. Warner Bros posted this information in a recent Q&A section.
In Hogwarts Legacy, you can play as a Hogwarts student set in the late 1800s, but it's not clear if you can choose which of the four houses you want to be in, or if the Sorting Machine will do it for you. Will the moral system be different depending on the house you choose? Gryffindor is supposed to be brave and so if you start doing mean things, will you quickly fall back to evil? Or will the effects be almost negligible? Will the way other students and teachers react and talk to you change, and nothing else?
How vast will the game be, will the morale system sacrifice peace or limit your options? Based on the trailers, you'll be able to explore the magical corridors of Hogwarts, as well as other fan-favorite locations like the Forbidden Forest and even the village of Hogsmeade. It's going to be exciting how Avalanche Studios implements a morality system because the world of Harry Potter is so vast and detailed.
Hogwarts Legacy will be released in 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.
