In update 14.6 for League of Legends, which is coming soon, there are a number of significant changes expected that will affect many champions and impact the current meta of the game. Of all the changes, the three most significant stand out:
Galio:
In this update, Galio will receive a complete overhaul aimed at increasing his mid lane durability and decreasing his ability to deal damage quickly. The changes will affect his base abilities and damage, but will be offset by an increase in attack speed and the addition of a passive effect that increases ability recovery when attacking enemy champions or epic monsters.
Smolder:
Smolder, who has been the dominant character in the meta until now, will also be undergoing major changes. His abilities will be weakened, especially his ability to damage enemy champions. These changes should make Smolder less dangerous in the later stages of the game.
Karma:
Karma, which has become too much of a mid lane mage lately, will be overhauled to encourage players to use her as a support rather than as a mid laner. Decreased mana per level, increased mana cost for some abilities, and increased cooldown for her ult make her a less attractive choice for the mid laner.
These changes, taking effect on March 20, will change the current League meta and offer players new strategies and tactics for success.
