Gibraltar is Officially the Biggest Target in Apex Legends

It's no secret that Gibraltar is capable of dealing more damage than any other character in Apex Legends, but the amount of punishment a big man can take has some players scratching their heads.

Gibraltar has been around since day one of the Apex Games and has always been a bit more solid than most other legends, but a number of recent upgrades have made it more unwieldy than ever before as players recently calculated that it could theoretically handle over 300 damage before lying down.

This prompted a Reddit user O0804 explore the maximum damage a character can inflict under the most ridiculous of circumstances, even if we'll probably never see things come this far.

While the post is tagged as humorous, it does raise some interesting questions about how much fire a legend can potentially absorb during a fight.

First, the tier 5 EVO armor gives Gibraltar 225 total health combined with his passive fortified perk that adds another 33,75 damage on top.

If you're lucky enough to have a Revenant in your squad, you can also take another 50 HP to revive with Ultimate Totem and 7,5 on top of that from Forified.

Next up is Gun Shield, which has a list of 50 health but is capable of blocking just about anything, as shots that break through the barrier don't transfer any remaining damage to Gibraltar.

Four RE-45 shots and one Kraber bullet do the most damage that can break a shield (193), but don't harm our boy, bringing our total to a ridiculous 509,25 damage.

As we said earlier, this post is more of a hypothetical situation, but it does a good job of showing how frustrated some players are when facing a big legend in a 1v1 situation.

But in those later stages of the game, where players often find themselves at great distances from each other, the shielded fortress can suffer due to its large model, which is a much larger target than, say, a Wraith or Pathfinder.

However, players are willing to take that risk knowing that not only is Gibby one of the top tier characters in terms of what he brings to the table, but he can also soak up an incredible amount of damage.
