Here's the VALORANT beginner's guide that Brimstone pulled straight from their archives for us. Whether you're new to the game or just want to brush up on the basics, you'll always need the help of an experienced agent.

The following is information that you should familiarize yourself with before the first game. Be careful - you will suddenly learn something.

Before the start of the first round, you will need to choose one of the agents. Each agent has a specific role and special skills, combinations of which will help you achieve victory. Learn more about all agents on their page.

After everyone chooses their agent (oh you chose it!), you will move to a random map and start the first round.

You start the round on either the attacking team or the defending team, with side switching happening in the middle of the match. Each round begins with a shopping phase, during which you can purchase weapons and skills. Your purchases determine the most effective tactics for dealing with the enemy. Base your choice on your personal preferences or team composition.

No one will tell you how best to spend the money, but you will pull the trigger.

There is a suitable weapon for every situation - you can read more about this on a special armory page. When in doubt, buy a certain type of weapon and see for yourself how well it suits your style, abilities, and team strategy.

On each map, you will find special ways to counter enemies effectively and beautifully. Demonstrate your creativity and combat ingenuity in a wide variety of conditions.
