All four VCT 2024 leagues play in their own regional Kickoff tournaments, with two teams from each competition qualifying for the tournament, earning spots at Masters Madrid, for a total of eight teams heading to the event. The tournament will begin with a Swiss-style stage and then move to a single-elimination bracket after two losses. The Swiss format is new for 2024 with minor adjustments to the new VCT structure and points system.

The two first-place teams in each region's opening tournament will earn a trip to Madrid. Each region has one team seeded higher and one team seeded lower—the champion and silver medalist of the Kickoff tournament, respectively.

Throughout the opening matches, teams accumulated championship points for VCT 2024. Even if your favorite team finished third or fourth at the end of the Kickoff, they will likely still receive points that could earn them a spot at Masters Shanghai or Champions Seoul later in the year. this year. The final teams will be determined by March 3, with North and South America finishing last.
