While the Valorant competitive scene is taking shape as organizations around the world create star lineups, tournament organizers are also trying to make progress on their own events.

Now BLAST followed in the footsteps of Flashpoint by going from a typical Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event organizer to adding Valorant to their skill set.

They hosted their own European event with a €50 prize pool as four of the continent's best teams battled it out on Earth the near future to prove that they are the best. Here's what you need to know.

G2 Esports win the tournament

The BLAST Valorant Ignition Series event started on September 11th and ended on September 13th - streamed live every minute on Twitch.

Arguably the best team in the world, G2 proved why they were considered the favorites as they dominated their way to the Grand Finals. But despite FunPlus Phoenix being one of their 2-0 casualties, the team managed to get on G2's nerves.

The game was incredibly promising and G2 needed huge performances and a traction factor to secure the win. The final map went to 13-11 in favor of G2. Notably, G2's Ardis 'ardiis' Svarenieks became the MVP of the tournament.
