Lord of Wolves and Dead Man's Tale Exotics Getting Nerfs in Destiny 18 Season 2
The Destiny 2 community faces challenges in the PvP meta every season. Players can find the oldest weapon in the game and use it to its full potential against other Guardians in the Crucible. Lord of the Wolves is one such weapon and was once heavily undermined due to the havoc it caused.
In a recent TWAB (This Week at Bungie), Destiny 2 developers announced another nerf to the Exotic Shotgun, along with another powerful Exotic, the Rifle Dead Man's Tale Scout Rifle. Both of these weapons have dominated every mode in PvP, forcing Bungie to take steps with a future fix.
Bungie also recently announced that they will be changing the numbers in their patch releases, and next season's first patch is labeled 6.2.0.
Lord of Wolves and Dead Man's Tale are getting both perk and ammo nerfs next season in Destiny 2 PvP (2022)
As mentioned earlier, and Dead Man's Taleand Lord of Wolves dominated the players in all PvP game modes. However, their reign comes to an end with the following fix, as Bungie announced a massive nerf to both their damage, perks, and ammo.
For Lord of Wolves The changes and nerfs that will be rolled out in Season 18 are as follows:
- Starting ammo will be reduced in PvP from 15 to 10. This will be unchanged in PvE.
- Reduced burst size from 10 to 5 shots when an exotic perk is activated. Here, the term "gap size" means the shots fired when the trigger is pulled.
- Reduce splash delay by 60% when an exotic perk is activated.
- Decrease base weapon damage by 20%. The weapon will deal 35 body hits in PvP and 44 when the perk is activated.
- To compensate, Bungie will also increase weapon PvE damage by 20%.
Changes for Dead Man's Tale following:
- The Cranial Spike Exotic buff will not deal increased damage to the user. Instead, each stack will provide increased reload speed, accuracy, and range.
- Reaching max stacks Cranial Spike, players will receive an increase in hip-fire rotations by 50. Therefore, the total number of rotations in hip-fire will be 180.
Dead Man's Tale had the ability to shoot any opposing Guardians twice with stacks of Skull Thorns. Having max stacks of perks paired with buffs like Radiant и Empowering Rift, can take one shot with accuracy.
While the damage bonus will be removed from Destiny 2 PvP, the nerf will not affect weapons in PvE.
