Well here's a surprise; Dick Wilde 2 is in the works and will be out in February.
Developer Bolvërk Games announced the sequel to their popular wave shooter today. The original Dick Wilde is remembered as a hillbilly hero who cleared the swamps of vicious fauna with homemade weapons. Check out the trailer below.
Now the game has received a cooperative mode. Two friends can team up and become Dick's assistants to take on new tasks together. It's important to note that this feature is cross-platform on all headsets, so you can easily find friends to play with.
It also looks like levels in Dick Wilde 2 will have a linear progression, while players were stationary in the original. You will also be able to buy new weapons. The game also adds new difficulty settings (the original was quite difficult), more power-ups and a variety of boss fights.
The original game was a polished wave shooter. In a press release, Bolvërk advertised the game as a "fantastic commercial success". That was a great workout! We look forward to seeing the continuation of the sequel.
Dick Wilde 2 will release on PSVR, Rift and Vive in February. The PSVR version will support both the Move controllers and the swanky PlayStation Aim controller. for Oculus Quest, right?
