Diablo 2: Resurrected - Act 1. Walkthrough. Description of All Tasks in the Game

The storyline of Diablo 2 continues the events of the first part.

The great warrior who defeated Diablo in the first part himself became the bearer of evil, which gradually grew and more and more prevailed over him. A voice within leads him to the east, and wherever he passes, evil appears. Our character begins just in one of these places, where the once great warrior passed ...

Den of Evil

After you select a character and load into the game, you will be in Beast camp. After talking with Akara, you will learn that the camp is threatened by creatures from a cave nearby. We leave the camp, we get into Blood Swamp. Kill local enemies, along the way you will find the entrance to the cave. Come in and kill all the monsters. When there are 5 or fewer monsters, the task status will show how many more monsters need to be killed. Sometimes one hides somewhere, and you have to run all over the cave to find it. Return to Akara.

Reward: 1 skill point.

Sister's Burial Grounds

Talk to Keshia and she will give you a quest to kill the Blood Raven. Through the Bloody Swamps we get to Cold Plains. Immediately at the entrance you will find a portal, activate it. We clean up the area. Cold Plains has two exits and a cave. To begin with, we go into the cave and kill everyone and everything (a good place for pumping at low levels, and there is a golden chest on the second level of the caves). After that we go to the Cemetery (Burial Grounds). There, in a crowd of zombies and skeletons, you will meet an archer called Bloody Raven. Kill her while ignoring the crowd. I strongly advise you to go to Mausoleum and Crypt - small but good places for pumping. And here and there you will find a golden chest. Return to Keshie.

Reward: assistant. But I advise you to hire (now there is such an opportunity) more experienced and with ice arrows. If you already have a mercenary, the reward is reset to zero.

The Search of Kain

Talk with Akara. She will tell you about the destroyed city of Tristram, and will give you the task to save Deckard Kane.

This long circuitous quest is optional, but highly recommended because Kane will identify your items for free once you save it.

Your first task is to get to rocky field . Return to cold plains and follow the road to this new area if you haven't already entered and captured waypoint during the previous quest. rocky fields is home to goats, hungry dead, skeletons, fallen ones, fallen shamans, and dark archers. This is also when the Carvers start showing up, which are a slightly tougher version of the Fallen. They don't have an accompanying Shaman at the moment, so it's not that hard to deal with them. You will also encounter Foul Crows that spawn from Foul Crow Nests. Until you kill the Nest, the Crows will constantly respawn. Either clear the Nests or just run past them.

Walking along the road, you will surely notice a circle of six large stones. This is your final destination, but you don't know how to activate them yet. If you want, go ahead and destroy the enemies around Pyramid stones straight now to save you time later. Keep in mind that this area is guarded by a carver named Rakanishu, which is known for its ability to release charged lightning bolts on impact. They can deal lethal damage at low levels, so prepare plenty of potions.

Whether you are dealing with Rakanishu now or later, you will eventually want to take the road to Underpass . This cave system is much larger than Den of Evil and contains Skeleton Archers, Vile Hunters, Fallen, Carvers, and Warped. None of them are overly difficult on their own, but within the tight confines of the cave, you can quickly fail. Don't be afraid to drop TP and get out if you need a second to catch your breath.

Fight your way until you find the entrance to Dark forest . In the underpass there is a second level so make sure you exit through the correct entrance. You don't have to go down to the second level of the cave if you don't want to. It just contains a few extra enemies and loot to pick up.

After you are in dark forest , you need to find two things: Inifus tree и waypoint ... IN Inifus tree you will find a scroll that tells you how to open a portal in Tristram . Unfortunately, it's located somewhere in the middle of the area's forests, so we can't tell you exactly where to look since the map is randomized. It is guarded by a unique beast named Treehead Forest Fist, which appears as Extra strong, so и с Extra Fast . In addition, he has three cool minions. You don't have to kill him if you don't want to, but his loot is usually good enough that we recommend it. Point here it can be a little hard to track, but because it's not on the way. Don't forget to find her so you don't have to come back through underground passage after completing this quest. With the scroll in hand, return to the city and speak with Akara . It will show you the order in which you need to touch the stones to open the portal to Tristram . Return to rocky fields and do exactly that. Then go through the red portal and get ready to rescue Deckard Kane .

Tristram is home to a large horde of enemies. You will encounter carvers, carver shamans, returned and/or skeletal archers, and possibly some nightclan goats. In the center of the city, there are several champion-level monsters that are going to have a tough battle. Finally, in this area lives Griswold , the blacksmith from the first game that automatically casts a curse Amplify damage to anyone who is near him. Be careful in this area as the enemies can overwhelm you quickly.

When it's safe (or even if it's not), click on the cage Kaneto release it. He will return his TP back to Beast Camp , leaving you to either clean up the mess or follow it with your own portal. When you return to the city, talk to Kane to complete the quest. Now he will identify any item that you bring him for free.

Reward: free item identification from Deckard Kane and a ring from Akara.

The Forgotten Tower

After release Cain your next goal is to kill Countess . The game only gives you this quest if you found the pedestal in stone fields, telling you to do it. It takes a bit of hunting to track the pedestal, but you don't actually need to look for the pedestal to complete the quest, so don't worry if you missed it. From dark forest you need to continue on to black swamp . Search the map until you find Forgotten tower . Once you find it, this optional quest will appear in your journal.

within Forgotten Tower, you will find an even more powerful version of the Fallen called Devilkin, although they do not have their own Shaman at the moment. It's also full of Nightclan goats, vile archers, and ghosts. The last monster drains your mana when it hits you, making them a bit harder for caster characters.

The boss, your target, is on the top floor of the tower. Several minions join her, and she uses fire-enchanted attacks at close range. Either keep your distance or bring some health potions. It is important to note that Countess - A good source for early rune drops, which you can then use to buff your gear. She will also drop a few pieces of equipment that can be upgraded if you're lucky.

Reward: gold and other items from the chest.

Tools of the Trade

After you deal with Countess be sure to talk to Charsi, blacksmith, in the camp Beast . She will tell you about the hammer she left behind after fleeing the monastery and ask you to return it. In order to make your way in this optional quest, you need to go from Black Marsh к Uplands and then punch your way through barracks . Along the way, you'll encounter upgraded versions of most of the regular monsters you've encountered so far, but you can mostly run past them while you're at level 12-15. At this point, you're probably ready to clean up the first act, so there's no reason to grind if you don't want to.

Nevertheless, Barracks can become something of a bottleneck for new players. Like underground pass , this area is densely packed with enemies and doesn't give you much room to breathe. Try to take your time fighting off the monsters, and watch out for bone mages and bone archers. They can deal a lot of damage from afar if you don't deal with them.

The boss of this area is Smith who wields the hammer you are looking for. Not only does he hit hard, but he also spawns with a large horde of minions. Try to take him away and deal with him yourself. Don't be afraid to reset the teleport and retreat to Camp Bestiy, to breathe or replenish your potions. After dealing with him and his horde, take Hammer of Malus and bring it back to Charcy. She will then offer to turn one of your nonmagical items into a random rare item. You can do it now or save it for later when you have more quality equipment.

Sisters to the Slaughter

Recommended level: 14-16

This is the only quest in Act I that you actually have to complete. Having dealt with Smith , go through barracks to jail. This area has three levels that you will need to complete, and they contain even more monsters that you are used to. One notable addition is the mana-draining Wraiths, which are a tougher version of the Wraiths you fought in Forgotten tower . After you clear jail , you will be in inner monastery . Don't forget to take it here waypoint and go and refill your potions if you run out.

Then go to cathedraland go to the right side of the map to go down to catacombs . This vast dungeon contains several new monsters. There are peanuts, banished, afflicted, ghouls and rats. On their own, none of these are overly lethal, but having to learn how all these different enemies work at the same time, as well as exploring an area that can lead to feeling overwhelmed, can be a challenge. Take your time and don't be afraid to return to the city to catch your breath. Be sure to take waypoint at the second level catacombs, so that you can speed up the run after the corpse in case of death.

Eventually you will reach the fourth floor catacombs.. When you enter, you will be in a safe place. Drop it this time teleport, which you can use if you run into trouble in the next room. Go through the door and take some time to get rid of all the Dark Ones and their Shamans along with the Zombies. Make sure you don't open the next door until they've all sorted it out or you'll activate the boss act, Andariel .

When everyone is dead, go through this door and face Andariel.. Your first goal is to bring her closer to the door. You don't want to activate all the other enemies in the room with her if you can help. Once she approaches you, it's best to hit her with any fire attacks. She is very weak to shooting and will fall quickly if you can hit with everything you have. If you don't have access to fire-based skills, be prepared with lots of potions because her attacks do a lot of poison damage. Luckily this damage is slow so you can run through the portal back to the city and be safe if you need to. Once she is killed, take your loot, head to the city and talk to Varrivto move on to the second act.
