CoD 2021 To Be Titled "WWII: Vanguard" Designed By Sledgehammer
After months of anticipation, the highly anticipated 2021 Call of Duty release appears to have been blocked as WWII: Vanguard, the sequel to the 2017 franchise developed by Sledgehammer Games.
The next title in the CoD franchise seems to be set in stone after months of speculation. Though in previous months there were rumors about the events of World War II , now we have a working title and confirmation of this.
According to early reports modern warzone, «Call of Duty: WWII: Vanguard' is the tentative name of the upcoming release .
This is presumably the current internal codename, which means it may change before release. However, this does seem to confirm the WWII setting as well as Sledgehammer Games' fixation as the developers of the 2021 game.
With every new entry in the Call of Duty franchise, there is a lot of speculation ahead of release. This time the main question for discussion is who will develop the next anticipated series title.
Helping out Infinity Ward in Modern Warfare 2019 before lending a hand to Treyarch in Black Ops Cold War 2020, Sledgehammer Games has been pretty busy. However, it looks like the North American and Australian studios are still working on a sequel to World War II .
World War II kicked off in 2017, bringing the series back to its roots after years of futuristic warfare. According to the leaked information, while the earlier entry remained in the WWII period, the 2021 sequel could advance into the 1950s.
This release will be the third independent game in the franchise. The developers first released Advanced Warfare in 2014, followed by WW2 in 2017.
However, for now, this information should be taken with a grain of salt. There may be a few months left before the official opening, and we will have enough time to change plans.
Although the theme and developers should not change, the final name is subject to change!
