Call of Duty: Vanguard - Everything Shown at Activision Presentation

Activision held the previously announced presentation of the multiplayer Call of Duty: Vanguard. During the broadcast, Sledgehammer Games employees spoke about the features of multiplayer modes, as well as showed a trailer and gameplay.

While the core mechanics of CoD Vanguard feel as smooth as any previous year, Sledgehammer Games' many simple improvements are closing the skill gap more noticeably than ever before.

The following details can be highlighted from the presentation:

  • 20 maps at launch (4 for Contest of Champions and 16 for other modes)
  • The maps take place in different locations such as the Western Front, Eastern Front, North Africa and the Pacific Theatre.
  • "Patrol" is a new mode in which a stronghold moves around the map and players need to capture it.
  • Clan system.
  • Full cross play.
  • tactical sprint. For example, in a sprint, you can break through walls.
  • Shooting from cover.
  • Shooting blind.
  • Destructible environment.
  • Creating a class.
  • The Gunsmith system, which includes a system of calibers, types of ammunition and modules for weapons.
  • Three slots for perks.
  • Suppressive fire that slows down enemies.
  • 12 characters at launch.
  • Cosmetic items for leveling up a character.
  • No factions - only teams A and B.
  • The PC version will support unlimited frame rates, ultra-wide and multi-monitor monitors, as well as many options for granular gameplay customization.

Call of Duty: Vanguard will release on November 5, 2021 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This month, the developers also plan to conduct a beta testing phase.
