Viveport is HTC's app store for VR, similar to the Oculus Store. However, it is not only for HTC hardware, but also officially supports Oculus Rift headsets. In fact, it will even gain support for Windows MR headsets next month.
While Viveport sells games like a physical store, it also offers an Infinity subscription service. Infinity gives subscribers access to over 600 games and store experiences. You can refer to this as Netflix for VR. Beyond The Wall will be available exclusively on this subscription.
Since Beyond The Wall is exclusive to Viveport, this rules out the possibility of an Oculus Quest port. The quest only works in the Oculus Store. However, it may appear in HTC's standalone Vive Focus Plus in the future, but nothing has been said about that.
As the name suggests, the experience takes place outside the famous north wall of Westeros. Players take on the role of a Night's Watch brother. Armed with a sword, they will fight with the reserves of the mind and even with the undead polar bear.
Viveport Infinity costs $12,99 per month, but if you just want to play around with the experience, you can take advantage of the two-week free trial.
The experience will be available in English in the US, UK, Canada, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina. So far, there is no word that it extends to other languages and territories. It could be a licensing issue with HBO.
