Apex Legends Season 5: New Legend and Everything We Know

We're just a few weeks away from the launch of Apex Legends Season 5 officially named Smile of Fortune (Fortunte's Favor), and developer Respawn has begun revealing a new set of features for the battle royale. Already confirmed is a new hero, a new quest system and of course a brand new battle pass full of stuff to earn. And while there's no new map this time around, a bunch of leaks, clues, and easter eggs in the game promise to be interesting.
If you want to know what season 5 will bring, we've put together all the information - both confirmed and speculated.
When does Apex Legends Season XNUMX start?
Season 4 has been extended by a week, meaning Season 5 will now arrive on May 12th. This gives players a little more time to familiarize themselves with Season 4 Battle Armor, which automatically equips all players with a certain level of armor.
How much does Apex Legends Season 5 Battle Pass cost?
Although the details of the Season 5 Battle Pass have not yet been released, we can still predict the price from previous seasons. Expect the base version of the Battle Pass in Season 5 to be priced at 950 Apex Coins, which will provide instant XP Boost unlocks and multiple skins. There will also be a Battle Pass Bundle that will automatically unlock the next 25 Pass Levels - along with all the rewards they bring - for 2800 Apex Coins.
For $10 you can buy 1000 Apex Coins. This will give you a basic pass with a little modification. However, if you want to get the set, you will also need to buy the 2150 Apex Coins pack for $20.
For frequent gamers, the battle pass can prove to be good value for money. In addition to Apex Packs, skins, music packs, banner poses, and other unlockables, the Battle Pass will regularly reward you with coins. In Season 4, players will be awarded 97 Apex Coins by the time they reach level 1000 - more than enough to capture a new Legend or even pay for next season's Battle Pass.
Apex Legends Season 5 New Character
Once again, a new season means a new legend. In Season 4, you'll be able to unlock Loba, a sophisticated thief who fucking wants revenge. Her parents were killed by the season XNUMX star of Revenant - as seen in trailer of his character - and now she's joining the games as a new character who will take her revenge by jumping into the arena alongside her nemesis. At some point, the Loba team and the Revenant will be merged together, and from a purely historical point of view, this is rather strange.

According to the leaks, one ability - seen in Loba's character trailer - allows her to throw a disc and teleport to its location. Another option is loot scanning, which allows Loba to select a type of loot and reveal all nearby locations where it can be found. In the past, Respawn has contained false information in order to dump the data, so time will tell if this is actually the case.
What else is coming to Apex Legends Season 5?
The only other confirmed new addition is quests, though it's unclear what format this will take. "Hunting for treasure and answers in the new Season Quest," teases season 5 official page . "Those who complete the journey will be generously rewarded."
There are many rumors and clues elsewhere. In an interview with Game Informer, General Manager Dusty Welch and Game Director Chad Grenier talked about the in-universe game's connections to the Titanfall series. “We always bring things from the Titanfall universe,” said one. “We've built an amazing world in Titanfall 1 and 2 and we want to make sure we're moving that forward. I will say this: for fans of Titanfall, Season 5 could be a pleasant surprise."
Fans have speculated about what that could mean. One possibility is that other weapons from Titanfall will be introduced to Apex Legends in Season 5. Each previous season introduced a new weapon that was teased ahead of time. So far there is no season 5. Could this indicate the unexpected inclusion of something from Titanfall's arsenal?
While no new map is planned for Season 5, players may see an updated version of Kings Canyon with a new area. The game points to a massive dome potentially covering an area of wetlands. Is this a sign that the map, recently reintroduced as part of the new map rotation system, is getting an overhaul?
Finally, it seems likely that one of the legends will be tweaked. Poor Mirage never made it to the top of the Apex tier list, and players have been asking for a buff from his holographic ability set for a long time. Carlos Pineda, designer at Respawn, finally confirmed that Mirage would be getting some sort of upgrade in early April, tweeting that "it will be..."
