Ruined City Dungeon

The Ruined City Dungeon is the first location in Code Vein. You will reach it after completing the tutorial and watching a few cut-scenes. As the name indicates, this place is a ruined underground city full of ruined buildings and cemeteries. This location is not very big, but this does not mean that you will not find interesting places and hidden objects here.

Go to Mistle, the recovery and fast travel point located on the right. Relax and then go straight ahead. Soon you will face one of the main enemies - Lost. This is a great opportunity to learn how to do backstab - this method of attack deals huge damage in one hit. Go straight - you will find two more opponents. One of them is guarding the Lost Shard.   

Code Vein walkthrough

After defeating the opponents and going a little further, you will find a chest. Do not go to him right now - an enemy is hiding to your left. Defeat him first and then go to the chest. Inside you will find a heavy axe. When you reach the chest and then reach the end of the corridor, you must choose whether you want to go right or left. The path on the right is optional. There you will find a trap, if you activate it, all the enemies will come to life and attack you. After defeating them, move closer to the edge and take the Iron Queen. Then take the other path.  

Turning to the right, watch out for numerous wooden chests - there is an enemy behind them. Defeat him and pick up the Ichor Concentrate. Go further - you will come across a stronger variant of the Lost. This enemy has a shield. A good way to defeat this enemy is to stand behind him and backstab him. Be careful, there are three weaker but still formidable opponents next to him. Open the chest located next to the shield bearer. Inside you will find a new weapon - the Lost Bayonet. After that, open the door and go further. There you will find the Iron Queen. Pick it up and open another door.   

Another enemy with a shield is at the end of a narrow corridor. You can safely collect items located on the sides. There you will find the Yellow Book, Geisha Noodles, Antique Coin and Awakening MJ018. Look around, right under the ceiling there are jelly-like opponents - they will fall on you if you are near them. Climb up the stairs. You will find a Rotten Mistle that is used to open parts of the map. Go to the Rotten Mistle and press the interact button.       

Then turn left and go down the stairs. You will find a chest with the Blue Hound armor. In addition, here, there is a door that opens a shortcut to the starting location. Open it and go back upstairs. From there go straight ahead.  

Get closer to the edge - there is a place where you can safely jump off. Do this - at the bottom you will find a chest containing the Greatsword of the Royal Assassin. Jump down and you'll face another shield-bearer enemy. Go straight. Soon you will activate a cut-scene. 

From now on, you must explore the world of the game alone. Enter the white light and take the Chemical Light (x10). Deal with an enemy that is slowly moving in your direction. After defeating him, you have a choice of two paths - you can go straight or left. We recommend taking the path on the left. These paths are connected to each other, so the choice is yours. 

A large enemy is kneeling on the left, in front of you. Approach this enemy slowly and perform a backstab. You can't kill him in one hit. However, this attack will greatly reduce his health. Stay close to his back. Defeat the enemy and then pick up the drain activator. Break the wooden chests and move on. Now you have to fight with two opponents - one is hidden behind the columns, the second enemy roams the territory. Kill them both and take Awakening MJ018. Move straight ahead. You will see wooden chests. Don't go near them yet. Instead, turn right and collect the Regeneration Booster (x5). Break the boxes. Watch out, there are four jelly-like enemies waiting for you upstairs. Defeat them and move forward. You will see even more chests - an enemy is hiding behind them. Kill him and go straight. You will meet two shooters. When you kill them, take the Regeneration Multiplier Extension lying on the white grass - this item increases the amount of available healing items. You can go down below and then turn right. Kill the last opponents and collect items. Get closer to the corpse with the sword stuck in the body and pick up the Dagger (x5).      

The path near the corpse leads down. There, you will encounter one Lost and two jelly-like enemies attached to the ceiling. Defeat them and then pick up the Vivifer. After that, return to the room where the regeneration expansion multiplier was found. Turn right - you will find Mistle. Relax here.
