Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is one of the most successful Triple-A games to launch recently, and the number of active players in the game speaks volumes about its popularity.

Warzone Cup Limited Time Event

Following on from Modern Warfare FC Support a Team Feature and the release of three limited performer packs, Season 1: Reboot will round out the football holiday hat-trick, the Warzone Cup.

In this limited time mode, two teams of three heroes go to the Al Izima field, where one of the rivals of the Al Mazra football club is located. Here they will have special quad bikes with momentum ability to push a massive soccer ball into the other team's goal. Collect and throw shock sticks to stop your opponents, or dash through enemy vehicles to knock them out of the way!

The team that scores five goals first, or the team that has more goals at the end of the five-minute half, wins the match.

GAME EXPERIENCE IMPROVEMENTS

  • The experience token menu has been changed to display how much time is left on the lobby screen.
  • Experience tokens can now be equipped in the pause menu during gameplay.
  • Experience tokens can no longer be accidentally activated during experience doubling events.
  • Players who join the current game will no longer receive a loss if their team loses the match. (multiplayer)
  • Weapon attachments now have a customization icon in the preview to indicate which are customizable and which are not.
  • Finishers now count towards 30 kills in the XNUMXrd person daily quest in Spec Ops.
  • The "Decal Missions" on the Post-Battle Report screen are now called "Card Missions".
  • Artist bios no longer cut off in the middle.
  • Purchasing a new blueprint now displays a pulsed dot next to the corresponding weapon in the Gunsmith.
  • Players will no longer see a black screen on some platforms when trying to buy CP.
  • Fixed various issues with unlocking and progression of weapons and attachments, including the display of statistics.
  • Merged the "Hub" and "Friends" tabs.

WEAPON ADJUSTMENTS

  • Akimbo P890, X12, Basilisk and .50 GS received damage reduction against armored opponents
  • Fixed an issue that caused shotguns to display the broken armor hit marker inconsistently

M13B:

  • Blocked underbarrel grenade launcher and shotgun on 7″ Bruen B-M20 barrel

Casts 545:

  • Increased muzzle velocity
  • Slightly reduced dispersion from the hip
  • Increased melee damage
  • Increased chest damage multiplier

Kastov-74U:

  • Slightly reduced damage at close range; Three hit kills require at least one chest hit

MX9:

  • Increased movement speed, ADS speed, and ready to fire speed for the 32-round magazine

VEL 46:

  • Reduced spread of fire from the hip

  • Reduced movement speed

VEHICLE CORRECTION

  • Reduced collision damage taken by heavy helicopters, especially when landing.

  • Added custom turret rotation speed for armored personnel carriers, light and heavy tanks.
  • Increased AI damage dealt to both versions of LTV.
  • Reduced the distance that boats can be steered when fully out of the water.
  • Adjusted vehicle exits to reduce the chance of them failing to exit on steep slopes.
  • Players will no longer receive an "out of zone" countdown when picking up a vehicle from an enemy restricted zone in a ground war and driving out of the zone
  • Fixed an issue where the player would continue to see the countdown if they got into the car outside the zone

Other fixes

  • Friendly player nameplates disappear when an enemy is in an ally's direct path to avoid confusing enemies with allies.
  • In Tier 1 (Hardcore) mode, this change only applies to allies outside the geofence. Allies in line of sight will always display signs to prevent friendly fire.

KILLSTRAIN FIXES

  • Players who are killed in single-life, respawnable modes such as Knock Out will no longer be marked as an active player when using the Cruise Missile, Chopper Gunner, or Gunship.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause players to spawn in a space occupied by a package, resulting in immediate death.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from summoning MGB while swimming underwater.
  • The Juggernaut should now properly switch between minigun and pistol when entering and exiting water.
  • Explosive weapons that stick to the juggernaut (like Semtex, ZVB, etc...) now deal more damage to it.
  • Fixed an issue that caused juggernauts to sometimes die from a single throwing knife in Tier 1.

New mysterious keys have appeared in Al-Mazra... but where do they lead?

Limited access details to the biological lab, known as Building 21, will take players outside of Al Mazra and into a new dangerous DMZ zone.

Battle Royale improvements:

  • The time allowed outside the play area has been increased to 10 seconds.
  • Player Revive Alert: A sound will be played to alert nearby players when a player has been revived.
  • Ammo: When players drop a weapon, the corresponding ammo also falls to the ground. Going forward, these ammo will be automatically looted if other players with an incomplete stack of ammo of the same type walk over it.
  • Ground Loot: We have improved the ground loot priority to make it easier to interact with desired items.
  • Buy Stations: Items purchased at Buy Stations will spawn scattered rather than stacked, making interaction easier.
  • Gulag Elimination Alert: An audible signal notifies the squad when a squad member in the Gulag has eliminated an enemy or has been eliminated.

“Despite what was previously announced, but game statistics will not be launched in Season 01 Reloaded due to concerns about the accuracy of the data. However, we are continuing to work on this feature and the introduction of leaderboards and will report back soon.”
