Marvel Rivals leaks hint at a Capture the Flag game mode
Marvel Rivals has been one of the biggest launches for a live service multiplayer game in 2024, and from the looks of it, the developers might have planned something big for players in the upcoming year. Recent leaks suggested that NetEase might be planning to add a Capture the Flag game mode to their hero shooter.
Fans have since speculated that instead of capturing a flag, the teams might be tasked with retrieving various items based on the map such as Dragon Eggs. This rumored game mode might even tie img with the leaked Marvel Rivals maps.
What is Capture the Flag
While some might not be familiar with Capture the Flag game mode, it has been a staple for many FPS games, especially arena shooters, for decades. Two teams, with flags set up in their bases, are tasked to retrieve the enemy flag and take it back to their own base to score a point.
At the end of the match, the team with the most points wins. Your team needs to be coordinated as you will have to protect your own base as well as the player retrieving the enemy flag. Enemies can eliminate the flag bearer to get their flag back, so you need to coordinate with other members of your team to come on top.
With Season 1 looming on the horizon, it has also been leaked that two mutants might be added to Marvel Rivals in 2025. However, nothing has been confirmed as of yet, and it is wise to wait for official confirmation from NetEase.
