The Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Closed Beta Test (CBT) is finally here, allowing players to explore the vast open-world world of Westeros and its seven kingdoms. Fans of this series have been anticipating this game since its trailer was first dropped in December 2024. This will be an open-world action RPG with real-time combat, where you play as a Knight in Westeros and explore all seven of its kingdoms.

This article will explain how you can register for the Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Closed Beta Test and what to expect from it.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Closed Beta Test registration process

The Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Closed Beta Test for PC and Android users will commence soon and will be active from January 16 to January 22, 2025. The registration period for this CBT has already begun, with the last day of registration being January 12, 2024. However, it will only be available to interested players in the following regions:

• USA
• Canada
• Europe

Follow this process to register for the Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Closed Beta Test:

1. Go to this website through your browser.
2. Click on the Sign Up Now button.
3. Select your preferred device – Windows (PC) or Android. This test is not available for iOS users for now.
4. Enter your email address (it must be the same as your Google Play Store account).
5. Check all the boxes accepting the Terms of Service and confirm you are at least 17 years old.
6. Click on Sign Up to finish the registration process.

After you sign up, you will get an email from the devs informing you if they chose you as a Beta Tester. As such, you might have to wait until January 15, 2025, to receive the email. If you don’t receive one, it might suggest you have not been selected.

What to expect in the Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Closed Beta Test

After registering for the Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Closed Beta Test and becoming eligible to play it, here’s a list of things you can expect to do:

1) Explore Westeros and play this game

Since this is an open-world game, you should be able to explore all seven kingdoms of Westeros. However, we don’t know how big they will be and whether all seven will be available during the CBT.

Our guess is that only one kingdom will be available now, with the game’s map being divided into several regions, like Genshin Impact’s Tevyat. If they follow this model, we might get to see one new kingdom being introduced annually.

2) Build your character based on three classes

In this game, you play as the successor to the small but noble House of Tyre in the North. The game’s events seemingly take place during Game of Thrones Season Four, since the trailer reveals the approaching threat of the Whitewalkers and you being able to team up with the fan favorite, Jon Snow.

This CBT will allow you to create your in-game model from one of three classes; therefore, you can expect to spend some time on the character creation system. The three classes will be the Sellsword, the Knight, and the Assassin, according to the new Game of Thrones: Kingsroad trailer.
