Nuwa is one of the heroes set to receive a rework in the upcoming Honor of Kings Season 8. Level Infinite has adjusted the mage hero’s Incantation – Resplendence (Skill 1) and Incantation – Emergence (Skill 3). Additionally, some effects have been removed from her Basic Attack and Skills. The developers announced these updates to Nuwa’s kit in a post on X ahead of the new season.

This article explains the upcoming changes to the mage’s skills and lists recommended builds and skill combos after the rework in Honor of Kings Season 8.

Honor of Kings Nuwa hero rework: Skills changes, explained

After the rework, Nuwa’s Incantation – Resplendence (Skill 1) will also be able to generate impassable matrices or blocks like Incantation – Creation (Skill 2). The matrices produced from both skills can attract and collide with each other. The blocks of the same size will always attract each other (up to a maximum of two times).

The hero will be able to pass through the blocks seamlessly. The matrices can collide with each other, crowd-controlling or blocking enemies and dealing damage at the collision point. The collision point is the center of both the blocks.

The farther the blocks, the greater the explosion range and damage upon collision. However, the blocks won’t reduce the movement speed and deal area damage after the rework.

Level Infinite will also adjust the hero’s Incantation – Emergence (Skill 3). They will reduce its cooldown period and increase the range. After the rework, the skill’s casting speed will scale with the hero’s Magical attack. However, it will not be able to apply the crowd-control effects.

Lastly, the developers have removed some effects from Nuwa’s Basic Attack and Skills. After the rework, they won’t apply marks, heal allies, or buff movement speed. Additionally, the skills won’t generate shields, or increase movement speed after the hero receives damage.

Recommended builds for Nuwa after the rework in Honor of Kings Season 8

Here is the list of recommended Honor of Kings equipment, Arcanas, and skills after the rework:

Arcanas

• Nightmare ✕ 10: Boosts Magical attack and pierce.
• Hunt ✕ 10: Boosts movement and attack speed.
• Mind’s Eye ✕ 10: Boosts Magical pierce and attack speed.

Equipment

• Boots of Tranquility: Grants movement speed and reduces the cooldown period.
• Scepter of Reverberation: Grants Magical attack and movement speed.
• Tome of Wisdom: Grants Magical attack, buffs magical damage, and reduces cooldown period.
• Savant’s Wrath: Grants Magical attack.
• Void Staff: Grants Magical attack and pierce and increases maximum health.
• Splendor: Grants Magical attack, reduces cooldown period, and immunity to all effects briefly.
