Treacherous Funnel Vault Looks Like It's Coming Back to Fortnite
Attentive Fortnite fans have noticed an incredibly strange phenomenon on the Chapter 2 map lately - the Treacherous Vault that spearheaded the Chapter 1 massacre has often reappeared.
The first chapter for Fortnite fans is well remembered for the massacre caused by the vault of the Treacherous Funnel (Loot Lake). Numerous global events have led to the vault being responsible for all sorts of carnage, including sending an island into the center of a sinkhole during multiple tours of the map.
Despite its central role in the narrative of Chapter 1, The Vortex, like many other fan-favorite POIs, was dropped for Chapter XNUMX of the game in favor of an all-new map and many new locations.
Ever since the Chapter 2 map came out in October, players have noticed a slight resemblance between the two maps.
The most notable similarity is in the Giant Cooling Towers and the Kevolution Energy plant. There is a small statue of Kevin the Cube, a giant 1D object that roamed the map above Chapter XNUMX.
However, one fan Fortnite by name u / Kooooooomar with from Reddit found a suspicious image that has been slow to focus over the past few weeks.
As the images become clearer, fans have drawn an unmistakable parallel to the Loot Lake vault. Although it is difficult to distinguish, the painting displayed at the top of the vault opening appears to be identifiable.
So what does all this mean? It looks like we have a lot more parallels between the cards in chapter 1 and chapter 2 than we think.
Even though the map described in chapter 2 does not contain the Treacherous Void, the vault can easily float up from under another body of water, such as the Agency, which is located in a very similar position to the Vortex in terms of its location on the map.
We don't know exactly what the end of Season XNUMX will be, but it's fair to assume that the vault could come into play. However, what we don't know is how it will match up with other clues we've found, such as Midas head collection or skin leak known only as "Spy" .
Epic Games love to confuse their fans with cryptic teasers, and it doesn't look like they're changing their path in Chapter XNUMX of Fortnite.
