All Teasers and Easter eggs of the upcoming Cold War in Warzone

Activision has begun using Warzone to hunt for Easter eggs for Call of Duty 2020 teasers that are expected to lead to Black Ops Cold War reveals. Here we will document all the secrets as they are revealed.

Infinity Ward's time under the sun with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone seems to be drawing to a close, but the developers have begun to kick up Treyarch and Raven Software's Black Ops Cold War all over Verdansk.

With a teaser website, Pawn Takes Pawn, social media activity from Treyarch, and a large number of clues within Warzone, the CoD community has begun unlocking bunkers and rooms, assembling codes, and deciphering what is expected to be a six day easter egg hunt.

Rumors of Cold War teasers started back in May 2020 when players unlocked 11 bunker and found various information and nuclear weapons inside. Then Pawn Takes Pawn came after some in-game teasers "know your history" and players using EMC2 webpage found that this hunt would last six days.

Each day begins with a video on the website giving the code and coordinates to access a new location in Warzone, where Easter eggs and clues to other ciphers are discovered.

Each of the previous videos has also been updated to include new codes whose purpose is unclear. Once all clues are found, the EMC2 page updates to cross out the day and show the next day's date. With Day 4 complete, here's everything we know so far and what to expect going forward.

Day 1, August 14: Room in a farmhouse, ciphers, 1961-62

On Day 1, players figured out the general hunting process and used the VHS player information to determine that the secret room in the Farmhouse (near "H6" on the Warzone map) can be opened with the code "49285163."

Once inside, they found many files and documents depicting many puzzles, including the Venona cipher. These documents form the basis for future clues.

Day 2, August 15: Bunker 3, secret elevator, 1968-69

On the second day, players used coordinates "B5" to get into underground bunker 3 near Boneyard, using the code "8762485" to unlock and explore its depths.

Once inside, the community found a bust of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, other documents, and an inaccessible elevator - suggesting the possibility that later evidence will allow players to go even further into the Verdansk dungeon.

But that wasn't enough for Day 2 to be crossed out on EMC2, so they looked at the Day 1 VHS tape and realized that new codes had been found there, successfully completing the day's hunt.

Day 3, August 16: Prison shed, RC-XD car, 1972-73

On the third day, the community quickly identified "H8" as a small shed between the prison and the port, before using the code "7294853" to unlock and enter.

Once inside, various clues were found among the scattered files. One intriguing discovery was the half-built RC-XD car, a classic kill streak found in Treyarch's Black Ops games. After all the codes in the barn were noted, as well as the new numbers for each of the previous days, the day was crossed out.

Day 4, August 17: Bunker 1, more RC-XD details, 1977-78

On Day 4, players almost immediately realized that B7 corresponded to Bunker 1 in the lower left corner of the map, next to the racetrack. Using the code 97264138 allowed the players to get inside.

The interior of the bunker is a bit dull compared to others, but there is something else interesting. First, the RC-XD tires and front bumper found in the prison shed on the third day were found in this bunker. In addition, there is another mysterious elevator, which, like the one that was discovered on the second day, is currently out of service.

Day 5, August 18: Channel Hut, 1979

On the fifth day of this clue hunt, players were sent to a previously inaccessible hut near the TV station in grid square F4, which can now be opened with the combination 27495810.

Like other bunkers, this hut is filled with various files, documents, maps, and clocks that give a strong cold war feel to the 1970s and 1980s.

Day 6, August 19: Bunker 10, Cold War Black Ops, 1981

According to the EMC2 page, Day 6 was the final day of the Easter egg hunt. And the long-awaited day did not disappoint, as players traveled to F8 to access Bunker 10 using the code 602745143 and found a nuclear bomb waiting to be launched.

Subsequently, streamers such as Geeky Pastimes and NoahJ456 put in a huge community effort to decipher all the codes and puzzles that were put together. When all of this information was worked out, they were able to discover an unlisted Call of Duty YouTube video that contains trailer, confirming that Black Ops Cold War is the name of the next game, and the update that will unlock the game will take place in Warzone on August 26th.

A YouTube video suggests a "worldwide exposure" but chances are the hunt will continue and more information will be needed.

This is certainly the case, as NoahJ456 reported that Activision explicitly told him that this was only the "first step of revealing Call of Duty 2020". Whether that will mean more mysteries, more bunkers, or a nuclear explosion on Verdansk, no one is sure. Several elevators remain closed in bunkers opened during this hunt, suggesting the whole thing could go much deeper.

Looking forward to everyone wanting to tune in to Warzone on August 26th to find out exactly what's next.
