Scuba Diving Confirmation Found in Fortnite v12.61 Update Files

The latest Fortnite update seems to have confirmed that scuba diving will soon play a big role in the mega-popular battle royale.
While Epic Games is preparing Fortnite for a Season 3 update, the final weekly patch has left out a few details. After the leaked posters revealed the theme of the upcoming season, it's clear that players will soon have to take the plunge.
While it's not yet known how the new underwater feature will go into effect - we can only assume the doomsday device plays a major role - here's a rundown of the latest leaks.
When the Fortnite v25 patch was released on May 12.61, well-known data miners began unpacking the latest additions. New cosmetics and various teasers for the Doomsday events have been revealed, and with them, scuba diving confirmation.
"We will definitely go under water," said FNBRHQ along with a picture of the recently leaked categories in the game's code. "Scuba Diving" is the main category followed by "NoWeapon" and "DirectionalMovement".

Scuba diving was briefly featured during a recent travis scott astronomical event . During one of the songs, the players dived into the ocean, swimming together.
The all-new animations indicate that this feature has become much more common as the battle royale progressed in Season XNUMX.
Brand new animations allow players to swim in all directions, rise to the surface, dive deeper, or simply swim in place. One feature that seems to be missing is the ability to shoot underwater.

Season 3 of Fortnite is expected to start on June 4th, but the seemingly world-changing doomsday event will take center stage until then. The brand new Doomsday Clock is set to stop on May 30th.
It's impossible to tell how the map will change in Season 3. Although it is safe to assume that underwater attractions will remain in place for a long time.
