Leaks Suggest Fortnite Map Flooding Ahead Of Season 2
Popular Fortnite YouTuber Alistair "Ali-A" Aiken shared a theory hinting at a possible map flooding event to end the first season of Chapter 2.
After an impressive "The End" event dedicated to close to the end of the first chapter of the Fortnite universe, players were eager to see what would happen in the next phase of the game.
As New Chapter Season 1 draws to a close, many battle royale fans are coming up with new theories about how Epic Games will ramp up the hype for another season.
Fortnite YouTuber Ali A shared one of those theories, suggesting that the Fortnite map that many fans are starting to get used to (and maybe getting a little bored with) could be flooded as part of an end-of-season event.
After some of teasers hint at King Midas from Greek mythology, when golden items appear on the map, Ali-A stated that Poseidon, God of the sea, could also play a huge role in the new season.
He opined that it was possible that the end-of-season event could be triggered by the introduction of a possible second Greek god coming up with ideas on how it would be accomplished.
“I had the idea that a big wave passed over the island, which not only led to a lot of destruction and significant damage to the map,” Ali-A explained, “which is funny that it can actually happen in a slightly different way.”
The popular YouTuber then explained another teaser that was found on February 11th, highlighting that one of the attractions on the map even denoted by the inscription "Noah" from a bird's eye view, making it even more likely that a re-creation of the classic Biblical story could take place in the game.
It's unclear if the potential event will cause the map to be flooded at the start of the new season, though if the event does occur there will be some significant changes to the map.
Fans of the popular battle royale won't have to wait as Chapter 1 Season 2 finally ends on February 20th.
