Leaked Fortnite Season 3 Screensaver Hints At Fully Flooded Island

Epic Games plans for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 have been leaked ahead of schedule, and a teaser has surfaced on the PlayStation Store.
As with the previous major update, Season 3 has been delayed by the developers, who have officially confirmed that the release date will not be in early June, but on the 11th.
Members of the gaming community have been waiting for information about the next update for quite some time as leaders and miners have suggested that there may be a full flow of maps in development, and finally it seems that we have received an answer.
The fate of the island appears to have been made known thanks to a leaked image that appeared in PlayStation Store 1 of June.
The image, which has not yet been submitted or confirmed by Epic Games, shows the Battle Bus hovering very close to the water - in the background is an island completely covered in water.
Previous leaks have suggested this will be the case, though players are still waiting for official confirmation. As you can see in the screenshot below, the splash screen has been spotted on the PS store.
The screenshot itself is also available on social media and has been found by several Fortnite leaders such as Fort Tory and FNBRLeaks.

Fortnite and Spongebob crossover?
With an island in the background that looks like something from Spongebob Squarepants, it would be easy to assume that a Bikini Bottom crossover could be in the works. However, FNBR apparently shut down those theories by showing the island with an image that used to be in the trailers.

We're still waiting for official confirmation on the leaked icon, not to mention the crossover rumors, but as soon as we're given new information, we'll be the first to know!
If there's a major map change coming soon, as it does, all eyes are on the doomsday event scheduled for the end of Season XNUMX, because things should get a little messy in the near future if that happens.
