Total War Saga: Troy - Guide to Mythological Creatures and Epic Agents

« Iliad, Odyssey » Homer and Greek mythology in general is steeped in tales of legendary creatures. V Total War Saga: Troy you will be able to hire some of these mythological creatures such as cyclops, minotaurs, sirens, gorgons and many more. Some of them act as combat units, while others are considered "epic agents". Here is our guide to help you.
Total War Saga: Troy - recruiting mythological creatures and agents
Total War Saga: Troy focuses on the "truth behind the myth" approach. EThese mythological creatures are just human-sized squads or agents, similar to Bronze Age cosplayers, and may not appeal to those looking for a full-fledged fantasy image.
I got distracted. The point is that you can hire them during campaigns. Total War Saga: Troy , but there are a few requirements:
(1) Some mythological creatures can be recruited from certain settlements (marked with an icon). If you capture this settlement, you will see a notification about "exceptional warriors". In turn, you will need to build a special building (yellow line) that will allow you to recruit these troops, although their number is limited. Here are a few examples (these are all combat units):
- ➤Giants (all variants)
- ➤Harpies (both variants)
- ➤Centaurs (all variants)
- ➤ Sirens
(2) Reaching the maximum cult level (Worship) for a specific god or goddess using the Divine Will mechanic unlocks access to recruiting a specific mythological creature. They can be recruited in any settlement (epic agents) or in any army (combat units). For the latter, the number of recruits is still limited by your settlements.
These are the units:
- ➤Cyclops - Poseidon; found in Trinacria, Myrina (Lemnos province) and Ialyssos (Rhodes province).
- ➤ Minotaur - Zeus; found at Knossos (province of Ida).
- ➤Coribants - Hera; found in Kissamos (province of Madares) and Saos (province of Zerinthia-Nesoi).
- ➤Sparta - Ares; found in Thebes (Boeotia and Gray) and Galepsos (Province of Edonis)
These are the epic agents (which I will also go into detail about later):
- ➤Gorgon - Athena
- ➤Satyr - Aphrodite
- ➤Seer - Apollo

(3) Some events or missions will also bring you a mythological creature or an epic agent that can be hired. One early mission requires you to reach 250 favor with any deity to get a mythological creature. If you recruit this unit, you will also receive an epic agent.
Epic agents for the epic Homer exclusive to Epic Games
For some reason your generals and the game itself like to mention the word "epic". I don't know if this has anything to do with exclusivity Total War Saga: Troy .
Either way, here are additional tidbits you need to know about epic agents:
- ➤Epic Agents last only eight turns, after which they automatically leave. They also won't be able to act on their first turn after being hired.
- They have several actions available (targeting a settlement or an army), as well as a passive action if they are simply idle in the province. Using their "active" abilities will automatically use them up forever - it's like using a Great Person in Civilizations.
- You can hire another epic agent of the same type after 10 turns, but it depends on when they disappeared/left. So, if you hired a gorgon on turn 20 but didn't use it until turn 27, then next time you can hire another one (if Athena is still Worshiping) on turn 37.
Epic agents are cheap to hire (some food and gold) and they also have little food, so use them to your advantage whenever you can. They will definitely help you succeed in campaigns Total War Saga: Troy . Here are some additional tips:
I'm not too fond of Gorgons, but Intimidating Shape is useful if you want to easily destroy a garrison. Remember that the city of Troy cannot be affected by any actions of the agents (including the abilities of the gorgon).
It's nice for satyrs to have one you've captured in a resource-rich province. Make one Happiness and Growth Boost, then when you build time-consuming buildings, turn your Satyr into a Grand Engineer civilizations .
The seers are my favorite. Passive experience gain might not make a big difference, but Ritual of the True Sight is a godsend (pun intended) when you want to max out a deity's cult as soon as possible. In addition, she receives a Divine Assignment mini-quest, which provides a significant experience boost. Just be careful because the target region might be too far away if you're unlucky and she can't get to it in time.
