A prequel to the entire Outlast horror series. The plot revolves around a group of test subjects abducted by Murkoff during the Cold War. Scientists are testing new brainwashing and mind control techniques on unsuspecting volunteers. During the game, the heroes will face not only their own nightmares, but also other test subjects. You can play the game alone or in co-op up to four people.

Outlast Trials is the third installment in the popular Outlast game series. Unlike previous games, Outlast Trials is a unique game where players have to complete challenge levels, solve puzzles and dodge enemies with friends or in single player mode, similar to the current Hitman game. It is not a continuation of the main story told in Outlast 2.
While in Early Access, the developers released only three trial programs so that players can play a unique level known as Program X at the end of the game. Many people mistakenly assume that they will be able to play Program X after completing all three levels of the game, but this is not the case. In order to play Program X, you must complete all objectives in all three challenges.
How to access Program X in Outlast Trials
As mentioned earlier, you must complete all tasks in all three trials to access Program X. You can find a list of all trial tasks below.
Program 1 - Kill the Snitch
- Kill the Snitch - Normal Difficulty
- Cancel Showdown - Call MK
- Sabotage blocking - call MK
- Kill the Snitch - Medium Difficulty
- Exam: Kill the Snitch - Hard Difficulty
Program 2 - Chop Spoiled Apples
- Collect Bad Apples - Normal Difficulty
- Punish the Villains - MK Challenge

Program 3 - Cleanse the Orphans

What is Program X in Outlast Trials?
Program X is the last program in the Early Access version of Outlast Trials. Players can access and complete this level to get rid of the object. Remember that you can only access Program X after completing each individual task in the first three trials.
