What can we expect from the Warzone Halloween event? Haunting of Verdansk will run for two weeks starting October 20th and should make Warzone a bit creepy. Actually, very creepy. Activision is gearing up for Halloween by adding special modes and packs based on the horror films Saw and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This is a big update and blog COD it says that "no operative is immune from the horrors of All Hallows' Eve."

When does the Warzone Halloween event start?
The ghosts of Verdansk were featured as part of the roadmap CoD: Warzone Season 6 , promising rewards, new time-limited modes, and more. The Warzone Halloween event starts on October 20th and ends on November 3rd.
Everything that happens in the Ghosts of Verdansk
The first big seasonal event of Warzone is infecting all parts of Modern Warfare. In addition to some intriguing new modes in Warzone and multiplayer, Haunting of Verdansk is releasing a host of new cosmetics with official partnerships with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Saw.

The Ghosts of Verdansk cosmetics are the official sets for Saw's Billy and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre's Leatherface. Both sets come with unique weapon blueprints, including Leatherface's LMG FiNN Family Heirloom (fitted with an XRK ChainSAW to look more like his favorite weapon) and Billy's special throwing knife called The Phlebotomozier.
The third big set isn't another recognizable horror villain. It's all about a character called Dr. Karlov, "the infamous urban legend of Verdansk who defines regional Halloween folklore." We'll probably learn more about his deal when the event kicks off.

Zombie Royale lets you take back your life as a zombie
As previously shown in leaks on Reddit , the new Zombie Royale mode defeats players who are once again thrown onto the map as zombies - not Gulag this time. Zombie players cannot use weapons, but they do have super speed, strong melee attacks, heat vision, and enhanced jumping.
Looks like a more production version of the infected mode from the multiplayer game, but now in Warzone. Zombies will be able to earn their lives by zombifying more players.
Overall, it looks like the real battle is to be the last surviving team of humans so you can get on the helicopter and fly away, but the zombies can interrupt the extraction process. At least one of your squadmates must be in human form to win, and your team can also use Buy Stations to bring you back from the dead.
Explore Verdansk in the dark
If you don't like the zombified twist in Battle Royale, you can also take part in a normal night match. We originally saw this night mode in the original Warzone season 6 trailer . As the Infinity Ward blog post makes clear, thermal scopes will definitely be a great help in spotting enemy units in the dark. Starting tomorrow, you will probably want to make sure that the Cold Blooded perk is installed on all your classes.
Look for supply boxes for gifts
In addition to the special Ghosts of Verdansk modes, battle royale players can also take part in the Trick or Treat scavenger hunt. In "certain areas" of Verdansk, you'll find specially marked "Trick or Treat" supply crates that can drop powerful weapon blueprints or "momentary fright", so be careful if you're prone to fear.
The Trick or Treat boxes have several new blueprints, stickers, sprays, business cards, mascots and more. After opening all 16 boxes, you will receive the final prize - a blueprint for the Pumpkin Punisher assault rifle. It's not yet clear which assault rifle is featured in this blueprint, so we'll have to unlock it ourselves to find out.
Other shenanigans with the ghosts of Verdansk
In multiplayer, even more happens during the event. Expect to see a few Halloween-themed changes across all modes, such as stuffed animals instead of flags in Domination and skulls instead of tags in Kill Confirmed.
