Using the preload function on mobile devices will allow you to download some of the resources in advance, which will speed up loading after the release of the update.
When an update becomes available, iOS users will need to go to the App Store and click the Update button. Android users, after entering the game, need to complete the update according to the prompts that appear in the game. (Or you can go to the app store and click the "Update" button).

Mobile users will not be able to play during the preload, so we recommend that Adventurers complete any challenges or dungeons they have started beforehand.

Travelers using a PC will be able to play while preloading. Since downloading may require a certain amount of network bandwidth, we recommend downloading under conditions of stable Internet access.

Once the download is complete, Travelers will be able to install the new version and experience the new content as soon as possible.

How to update Genshin Impact

Mobile platforms (iOS and Android):

Method 1: In the game, click the Paimon menu - Settings - Other - Full package preload - Download.

 

Method 2: In the lower left corner of the login menu, click the "Preload full package" button to start preloading.

 

When an update becomes available, iOS users will need to go to the App Store and click the Update button. Android users, after entering the game, need to complete the update according to the prompts that appear in the game. (Or you can go to the app store and click the "Update" button).

Using the preload function allows you to speed up the loading of resources in the login menu.

PC:

After the feature becomes available, you must first update the bootloader. After that, in the bootloader menu, to the left of the "Start Game" button, the "Preload Game" button will appear. Click on it to get the update package.

 

The link will appear as soon as the feature becomes available!

After the preload is completed during a program update, reopen the bootloader and click the Update button. The download will be skipped and the installation will begin.

Travelers who have not fully downloaded the update can re-open the bootloader and click the "Update" button, and the download process will continue from where it left off.
