Description of Update 1.0 Wild Rift: Launch of Open Beta Testing, release of Lee Sin, etc.

League of Legends

The first official Wild Rift patch is out, and it's pretty big. The mobile clone of League of Legends is finally entering its regional open beta, expecting seven new champions and a host of balance changes.

League of Legends

Waiting to get your hands on the Wild Rift? The Regional Open Beta is about to launch in select regions, so you won't have to wait long.

With the open beta comes the first major game update: Wild Rift Patch 1.0. The balance update includes seven new champions - six for testing, as well as the ongoing release of Lee Sin - and buffs to certain items and mechanics.

Update 1.0 Wild Rift marks the launch of the Regional Open Beta

Wild Rift is now open to everyone! Well, almost everyone. If you live in Southeast Asia, you're in luck: on October 27, dozens of countries in the region will have access to the game.

These are: Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Brunei, Laos, Myanmar and Timor-Leste.

You do not need to register to participate in the Closed Beta; just go to Google Play or Apple App Store, download Wild Rift and sign in.

Players from Europe and Oceania can count on join the game in december . North American and South American players will gain access in 2021.

Champions

The main theme of Wild Rift Patch 1.0, at least in the game, is the addition of seven new champions. Fan-favorite flamboyant jungler Lee Sin has been moved to the mobile game, so you can now try your hand at InSec in Wild Rift.

Six other champions are also arriving for a trial run. Darius, Draven, Kai'Sa, Evelynn, Akali and Serafina will be open to all players to play for free from October 22nd. They will only be in the game for a week before they enter the vault for a short time.

In terms of balance, Riot have buffed the power of Goddess Tear. With shorter games compared to League of Legends on PC, the scalable potential of Tear items isn't really being realized.

“Items crafted from Tear of the Goddess are not very popular, so we are improving them to make them a more viable option,” the developers said.

All Tears of the Goddess items - Archangel's Staff, Manamune, and Coming Winter - will now grant more mana per stack. Manamune and Muramana will also give more additional AD based on mana.

Server downtime

We will temporarily pause iOS testing and disable new Wild Rift downloads shortly.

New Champion: Lee Sin

Li Xing, the blind monk, is jumping into the Rift! One of the most popular League Champions for almost 10 years, he is sure to add a new level of depth and skill to the jungle, offering unparalleled mobility, replay potential and plenty of main cutscene clips.

Lee Sin will be available alongside Knockout Lee Sin and Muay Thai Lee Sin so you can take on your opponents in style.
