Teamfight Tactics Update 10.19 - Destiny Pack, New Champions, Traits, and more.

TFT

The TFT 10.19 update is arguably the biggest Teamfight Tactics update of the year. The latest set, Fates, will launch live on the September 16th patch, featuring 58 new champions, tons of new traits, and brand new gameplay.

TFT

Out with the old, in with the new. After six months of playing in various galaxies in the Convergence, TFT players are now back in one place —on the solid Ionic land.

TFT Patch 10.19 marks the launch of the fourth installment of Riot's LoL-themed autobattler. Dubbed TFT Fates, the battlefield is a mixture of " gods and mortals - from glorious deities to tormented villains, from benevolent spirits to terrible Phantasms - who come from afar to seek their fortune as Chosen Dragons."

Sounds fun and exciting? If you've been feeling a little frazzled by Galaxies, this should be a breath of fresh air. We've got everything you need to know about the TFT 10.19 update below and the new set.

TFT Fates Arrived, Galaxies Gone

In the next TFT Fates update, which will be released on September 16, players say goodbye to the Galaxies.

The third set was arguably the most popular in TFT, as players actually bypassed the Galaxies mechanic by changing the battlefield every game. Riot has taken note of this and is considering adding galaxies to the game in the future.

TFT Fates brings a new style of play based around picking your favorite champion and building your game around it. Featured Champions are empowered items in your shop with double stats, additional stats, and a price to match.

There are 58 champions to choose from, and Riot will keep that number throughout the release. When new champions are added, Riot will pick them up. The biggest shake-up will come in the Mid-Set update scheduled for "early 2021".

New Little Legends, Arenas and Battle Pass in TFT Update 10.19

Of course, a new set cannot drop by itself. Riot are celebrating TFT Destiny by adding a slew of new Little Legends, arenas, and a brand new battle pass that you can complete throughout the set.

Longtime buzzword champion Ao Shin is finally making his way into the gaming universe as the Little Legends in Teamfight Tactics. Charming Tenevik and Bryukhach join him. Those three make a cute little group in the game too, so maybe team them up with some True Damage little legends for a full gig.

Three new arenas will also be available for purchase - Blossom Festival, Kanmei and Akana. Ionian themed battlefields are much more natural than those of intergalactic galaxies.

Ranked Games

  • When Update 10.19 is released in your region and Fates become available, you will be able to start competing for a place in the leaderboard in the first ranked stage of recruitment.
  • Most of you will start Fates in Iron II. If you have completed Galaxies in Diamond I, your starting rank will be Iron I. Players at Master rank and above will start the season at Bronze IV.
  • ➤Galaxies rank rewards will be credited with the release of update 10.21.
  • Players who finish in 4th place or higher now receive at least 10 LP.
  • Players who finish in 5th place or below now lose at least 10 LP (or as much as it takes to reach 0 LP).

Star Shards

28_25_Star_Shards.png

After the release of Fates, you will be able to level up Little Legends by purchasing Star Shards. Need a 3-star version of your favorite legend? Get it with shards! At the same time, the eggs will not go anywhere - if you just want to replenish the collection, it is better to buy them.

Here's how it works:

Obtaining Star Shards

Star Shards will be available for purchase in the store or with the Fate+ Pass. A total of 300 shards can be earned per pass. Star Shards will be available in bundles starting at 625 RP. The base set is enough to level up most Little Legends. If you're looking to expand your collection, check out the larger packs with additional Star Shards. We are considering other ways to acquire shards, but they will appear in future updates.

Using Star Shards

Once you've accumulated Star Shards, head to the cosmetic content menu, where you usually select Little Legends. Specify a Little Legend whose level to level up, and the shopkeepers, the Poro, will do the rest. Please note: Funds spent on any upgrades cannot be refunded, so choose wisely!

For 100 Star Shards, you can upgrade a Rare Little Legend (like Penguin Pier Knight) or a Pass+ Little Legend (like Astro Mole or Star Silverwing) from 2 stars to 3 stars, for 125 Star Shards, you can upgrade an Epic Little Legend (like Flame Knight Feather), and for 150 shards - a legendary little legend (like the feather of the raven knight).

Notes

Some Little Legends do not have additional levels, so they cannot be upgraded with Star Shards. These include:

  • ➤Victorious little legends.
  • Alien merman, Star Guardian merman, and Jade Emperor merman.
  • There may be other Little Legends in the future that fall into this category, but we will warn you in advance that they are not affected by Star Shards.
  •

There are no more restrictions. The only thing is that in order to use Star Shards, you need the 1-Star version of Little Legend.

  • ➤Statikk's Shiv Damage (primary and secondary): 85 ⇒ 80

Other

  • ➤As before, when a new set is released, we increase the planning phase by 5 seconds. This increase will be removed in Update 10.20.
  • Fixed an old bug that caused Grievous Wounds to be twice as effective.
  • The Claw Trap stun now has a different visual effect. This is done to make it easier to determine the cause of the stun.
  • Full Items will no longer drop in Orbs.
  • Spatula items can now drop in late PvE rounds, but only if there is at least one owner of the corresponding trait on the field.
  • ➤Changed types of orbs and their contents at all stages of the game.
  • All damage percentages within the same source type (i.e. items with items but not traits) now stack additively instead of multiplicatively.

The 10.19 Battle Pass also has a new look. There will be two tracks: Free or Pass+ available for 1295 RP. With Pass+, you'll have access to new booms, Little Legends eggs, and the Journey Destination Arena. We'll have a full breakdown of what's included in the pass when the update goes live.

TFT Update 10.19 kicks off on September 16th, so be sure to complete Galaxies in the last week to try and get your desired rank. After that, it will disappear forever.

We've updated the post with the full list of patch notes for 10.19. If you want to take part in the game, download PBE and start playing!
