Update about May 5 for Modern Warfare and Warzone: New modes, Helicopters and more

Infinity Ward released a playlist update today with a number of additions and changes to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare . In particular, the developer added the promised Demolition and Shipment 24/7 playlists, which were announced yesterday .

24/7 delivery proved to be a very popular playlist. "Shipping" - high appreciated map Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which has been updated for Modern Warfare in January. Infinity Ward released the 24/7 Delivery playlist earlier this year to strong reviews and brought it back into the game with today's update.

Several other changes have been included in today's playlist update. Ground War, Cranked Three-Three Gunfight and Ground War Reinfected have been temporarily removed from the game.

Demolition had its own playlist, so players can now enjoy consecutive rounds of this mode. Destruction is similar to Search and Destroy in that one team attacks the bomber while the other defends it. But in Destruction, players are respawned when they die.

Boots on the Ground War also got its own playlist. Boots on the Ground War is a 64-player variant of the Ground War mode that removes tanks and large vehicles, so players are forced to rely primarily on infantry combat. If you're looking for big team fights without a tank firing at you all over the map, this might be a good playlist to try.

Gun Game has been replaced by Gun Game Reloaded. Gun Game Reloaded is a variant of Gun Game where players use unique weapon blueprints to accumulate kills. With each kill, the player advances to the next weapon. But if a player dies from a melee attack, they are demoted. 

On the Warzone side of things, the Blood Money Trios replaced the Theft Trios. In addition, helicopters have been disabled from the battle royale mode. Infinity Ward has not provided any further information on why they were removed or when we can expect them to return.

Updates for Modern Warfare & Warzone May 5 (translation from English is not very correct!):

While Infinity Ward hasn't revealed why they removed helicopters from BR, most believe it's due to a bug that allowed players to use a vehicle to get free wins.

There is no timeline for when choppers will be added back, but it will most likely happen as soon as the developers come up with a way to fix the bug.

However, to appease fans, IW has activated a special Double XP, Double Weapon XP, and Double Tier Progression session that will run until Friday, May 8th.

In terms of cosmetic items, the new, highly anticipated Plunder Pack is now available in the Modern Warfare store. The pack, which costs 1200 CoD points, includes elegant looking golden skins for all the different vehicles that can be driven in both multiplayer and Warzone.

The new Plunder Pack in Modern Warfare allows you to equip Warzone vehicles with golden skins.

There are also new Mace Guns Blazing bundles for 2400 CoD points that feature a new Mace skin, two weapon blueprints, a clock and more.

The only thing missing from this update was that what they allegedly got for new pistols and RPGs, which may appear in the near future , at least according to one of Modern Warfare's developers. Both were among the most controversial aspects of Warzone, so players have been waiting for Infinity Ward to make these changes.
