League of Legends: Wild Rift 3.3 Update: Samira, Sion, and Kassadin Release
Wild Rift 3.3 update on the way. With three new champions, the introduction of the Legendary Queue, and an all-new Wild Pass, the long wait for new content is coming to an end. Here is a description of the update and all the innovations.
Due to the international Icons tournament, the typical update schedule for Wild Rift has been significantly delayed. While there is some time before the full patch goes live, the copious amount of content heading into the game is sure to make the wait worthwhile.
From the new champions Samira, Sion, and Kassadin coming with the update, elemental gorge improvements, a new ranked queue that hopefully fixes ratings, there's a lot to explore.
Here's everything you need to know about the Wild Rift 3.3 patch, including when the update is due to go live.
When will the Wild Rift 3.3 update be released?
At the moment there doesn't seem to be an official release date for the patch, but it can be assumed given the previous patch schedule. Updates typically happen on Wednesday, at least two weeks after the previous update.
Thus, the release date of the Wild Rift 3.3 patch is likely13 July 2022 years or July 20, 2022.
What will be in the Wild Rift 3.3 patch?
Samira, Sion and Kassadin officially revealed
The new champions help grow the meta, effectively adding more variables to an ever-growing roster. Of course, new additions come directly from League of Legends. But for those unfamiliar with these champions, here is a quick summary of their kits.
Samira is an excellent shooter. It is usually placed on the bottom line. Here it is revealed to the maximum. But you can also play for her on the top, mid and jungle.
Sion is a good tank, but for this he needs the appropriate artifacts. In general, Sion is generally expected to have good survivability, as he has a good opportunity to break into a group of enemies and start wreaking havoc.
Finally, there is Kassadin. As the only AP champion among the three, he plays as a mid lane scaling carry. His infamous ending gives him a blink that deals damage on landing. What makes the move even more terrifying is its incredibly low cooldown of 2 seconds at max refresh.
While there are no confirmed release dates for the three champions, expect Kassadin to appear in July, followed by the other two in August or September.
Wild Rift Star Guardian Event
Joining the mobile game for the first time is the Wild Rift Star Guardian Event, dedicated to releasing exclusive skins that even PC players don't get. Play to earn star candies and collect unique rewards.
You'll also see a Redeemed Star Guardian Event Pass with missions to complete with Event Tokens. Get extra tokens directly from the store. Exchange them for a variety of rewards, including Redeemed Haya and Rakan.
Elemental Gorges finally goes live
After numerous rounds of testing, the developers finally felt it was time to officially implement Elemental Rift is the biggest gameplay change.
In each game, the terrain on the map changes to match one of the elemental drakes. Therefore, game environments are shifted according to the randomly generated typing of the elemental dragon.
"This version of Elemental Rifts satisfies many of the team's goals for player agency and reducing stress around the early game, but there is still much to explore and players can expect more tweaks and changes in future releases," Riot stated.
New Ranked Season and Mode: Legendary Queue
Patch 3.3 marks the start of Legendary Ranked. This is a single queue ranking mode where only high elo players can qualify for participation - diamond ranks and above.
The system works very differently from the typical ranked mode in Wild Rift, and also provides unique rewards.
The new ranking season comes along with the typical seasonal rewards. In fact, a completely new exclusive skin, weapons and other cosmetics.
New Wild Pass
And, as always, the new Ranked Season comes with the addition of a new Wild Pass. Wild Passes provide mission rewards, with some rewards remaining locked until you purchase the full pass.
This time, the level 50 reward is Stargazer's Karma. The skin comes in two forms - Stargazer Karma and Ascended Stargazer Karma.
The Wild Rift 3.3 patch is expected to release later in July 2022, with patch notes released live. We will keep you updated in this post.
