League of Legends Update 10.16 - Buffs, Nerfs, and more.

patch

League of Legends patch 10.16 is officially on its way, and this one isn't as flashy. Pro playoff games are on the horizon, and Riot is shaking up the competitive meta in preparation for its annual update ahead of Worlds 2020.

patch

Where do we start my friend? Riot is pulling all stops in this cycle, although developer Mark Yetter has confirmed that most tweaks will be "small". The goal, he continued, is to “diversify the playoff meta” before the start of Worlds 2020.

"These changes in patch 10.16 are not 100% final [for the live release], but are getting close to final," Yetter added in a July 28 tweet. “We have a good meta, so a lot of small changes will strengthen it, and we try not to ruin the balance.”

League of Legends patch 10.16 Nerf

Right off the bat, a hefty chunk of competitive champions are coming under the hammer these two weeks. Syndra, Volibear, Ashe, Sett and Karthus who just got a mini rework in patch 10.14.

Nocturne, Kha'zix, Karma, Bard and Nautilus, who have recently appeared in the professional game at the same time one after the other, are also targeted. However, Eternal Nightmare's nerfs will only focus on his middle lane selection.

League patch 10.16 buffs

League Patch 10.16 boasts more planned buffs than nerfs, if you can believe it. The main champions getting a slight boost will be Yasuo, Fiora, Akali, Nico, Tristana, and Miss Fortune.

Ziggs, Veigar, Jax, Hecarim, Lucian, Morgana and Rakan will also be cleared. Finally, jungle assassin Evelyn will be tapping into her flex lane potential in a big August update. Agony's Embrace could be a viable mid lane choice after the buffs.

Release date

League League Patch 10.16 isn't big enough for you, even with all the balance changes in the August 4 update? Okay, we also have Yasuo Yone's late brother when he was officially announced on last week.

After the release of the new jungler Lilly in patch 10.15 , Yone has been confirmed by Riot as the second champion to join the League of Legends roster during the ongoing event Blossoming holiday.

League players can expect Yone to hit the live servers along with the patch update. If not, it will arrive one day later on August 5th. Here everything we know about resurrected swordsman , including his abilities and more.

The magic rune Nimbus Cloak will also be tested for small nerfs in LoL 10.16 patch, Yetter confirmed. Peak Artifact currently grants a halo and 15-35% movement speed after casting a summoner spell for 2,5 seconds.

League of Legends Patch 10.16 will be released together with regular Teamfight Tactics update on Tuesday, August 4th. The full preview is below.
