Fortnite Update v16.10: Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Shotgun Nerf
Epic Games has set the Fortnite v16.10 update for release this week - the first of Season 6 - and we have the patch notes with all the changes and additions.
The primal theme continues in the Fortnite update.
The biggest change to Fortnite Island this week is the introduction of a new Predator. Early leaks suggest it will be wild dinosaurs and velociraptors ( possibly being a crossover of Jurassic World ) who roam the battle royale in search of their next snack. These new horrors are expected to be very hostile.
We understand that Epic Games has more crafting and looting tweaks coming with this update, which should better balance the new features of Season 6.
In the balance department, the meta-destructive prehistoric shotgun is also right in the Epic scope. New weapon , introduced in version 16.00 earlier this month, in dire need of a balance adjustment after getting out of hand in the last few weeks.
Finally, the usual storm circles will return in this patch.
Here's everything we know about the v16.10 update, starting with all the details on the upcoming Fortnite Easy Fix and March 30th notes.
When will the Fortnite 16.10 patch be released?
Epic Games has officially locked the v16.10 update for Tuesday, March 30th. Downtime is expected to begin at 4:00 AM ET (8:00 UTC, 9:00 BST, 19:00 AEDT).

Predators are invading Fortnite
The iconic Velociraptors are finally coming to Fortnite.
Made famous in Jurassic Park back in 1993, these toothy beasts are one of the first dinosaurs that everyone thinks of when they think of prehistoric monsters. Now, in a very fitting twist for the "Primal" season, Fortnite Island is about to be taken over by the iconic dinosaurs.
"A new Apex Predator is stalking the island," wrote Epic Games.
Expect to see these predators chasing players and taking down enemies. Most likely, they spawn in the forest - their natural habitat - and, according to whistleblowers, this season they " can be tamed ', like wild boars and other animals on the island.
Don't forget to take your weapons with you if you are going to hunt predators; According to the in-game text about beasts, dinosaurs will "attack on sight".
We could possibly see Raptors getting added in the future als wildlife.

Prehistoric shotgun already weakened
The controversial Primal Shotgun is already nerfed, just one patch after its debut, after dominating the Fortnite meta.
Epic Games is targeting the rate of fire of melee weapons in patch v16.10 to limit their power. At the moment, the rate of fire of a two-row shot is 3,8. This will most likely be slightly reduced, to around 3,0s, although the damage will remain the same for the new Season 6 weapons.
