New Fortnite Theory Hints At Return Of Original Chapter 1 Map
Fortnite's groundbreaking The End event has kicked off Chapter 2 and taken players to a brand new map, although after four seasons in one location, we may finally be back where it all started with the next major update.
At the end of Season X in October 2019, Epic Games completely reset the Fortnite state. Chapter 2 kicked off with updated visuals, tons of new mechanics, fresh loot, and of course a new map. The map beloved by the players, codenamed "Athena", is a thing of the past.
A year has passed since this historic shift, and the developers have been completely focused on the map from Chapter 2, codenamed "Apollo". However, this did not prevent them from subtly tease the original battlefield here and there. Fans have been demanding the return of the first card, and now it could finally happen.
In the midst of Season 4's Marvel-themed storyline, Iron Man brings some battle bus upgrades . If the new theory is confirmed, this could all point to a huge return to Fortnite's original playgrounds.
The wormhole connection... So what we all thought was a black hole turns out to be a worm hole. A wormhole is a hypothetical connection between widely separated parts of space. This makes sense because the orb seems to be on both maps. *the reason galactus is coming to our map* “nexus war” from r/FortNiteBR
"Communication with the wormhole" - thought up on October 1 by a Reddit user " SvenWillNeverDie420 ". "What we all thought was a black hole turned out to be a wormhole." What if the original universe had never disappeared, instead of ending last year's event? We were all just transported to another place, and the previous place is still somewhere in the galaxy.
While that would be nice on paper, there is a surprising amount of evidence supporting the theory. The workshop at POI Stark Industries is currently updating the Battle Bus. However, the white board in the background may indicate this wormhole theory.
A simple drawing of a wormhole could indicate that Tony Stark is upgrading a battle bus to drive through the portal in the near future. This may mean that we will return to the original map at the end of this season. Although it could also hint that both maps will be available in Season 5 thanks to the battle bus that can travel at any given time.
This theory is backed up by a tweet from Epic Games global creative director Donald Mustard. "It's ALL connected," he said on August 22. "Note. The story is about to pick up pace.”
It's ALL connected. pay attention. The story is about to kick into overdrive...

Obviously, take this information with a grain of salt for now, as it's purely theory for now. The Fortnite community has been asking for the return of the original map for a long time. Perhaps it may finally be on the horizon as next season approaches.
Stay tuned for updates over the next few weeks. Expected that Fortnite Season 5 Starts November 30th ; Epic still has time to release more teasers.
